I've always liked Reche Caldwell so maybe Belichick and Co. can make something out of him in New England. My personal view is I think they eaisly can. He has good hands and he's a perfect fit for their 5-10 yard catch and run offense. He also could be a good deep threat for Brady when they decided to launch it.

I don't see where NE is so superior than this especially on O

You can't be friggn' serious.

The Pats have one of the top 2 QB's in the NFL and the friggn' Jets don't even know who their starting QB will be.

The Pats offense is ten times better than the Jets offense.

I missed that. Who did they give up for Peyton? Or did they claim Big Ben on waiver after the crash?

You have questionable judgement at times but I know you don't really think Roethlesburger is better than Brady.

If I needed to know if a certain tie went with my suit, Brady would be the man.

If I needed a QB that could put a team on his back and carry it to a SB Victory that would be Big Ben.

Now certainly Brady is good. Top 10. But he is a product of the system. It is not his fault. He will forever be known as a great 2nd day pick.

Brady sucks. Big Ben is the man. Nothing like a 20% QB rating in a SB to drive that point home. Shoot - they even named an hamburger after the guy! How do you top that? What, Tx? Tom Brady has two SB MVP's? Big Deal! Big Ben has a frickin' BURGER named after him.

Brady didn't win jack last year and Ben won the Superbowl.

This is from Websters:

System QB (aka Tom Brady):

NE is the most over rated team in the NFL. Being in the worst division in the league means they probably make the playoffs, also helped along with an otherwise very weak schedule. They have zero depth, except maybe at RB. They are an injury away from a total collapse.

Tom Brady is nothing but a system QB- OH MY! No depth (especially at TE and DE - holy smokes are the Patsies weak there or what!) - OH MY!! The HC is clearly in over his head - I hear he mumbles - OH MY!

Webster's:

Actually Tx, penis envy is when a girl at a very young age is "envious" of a boy's genitalia because she perceives that the boy is treated more favorably (which in our society full of gender roles is quite possible, even at the implicit level).

Patriots will, unfortunately, win the AFC East once again.

See, now I can tell that you're trying to get a rise out of us. Big Ben is the next Trent Dilfer, he couldn't carry a loaf of bread let alone his entire team. The only thing he has to worry about is not f#cking up. If that means hand it off to any of their running backs for the entire game so be it but he never will be in Brady or even Manning's league.

I must reconnoiter..... one second look, I think Miami, as awful as they may appear to be, will win the division. Better WR's a better RB, and now, a better QB. The defense now has a year of experience under Saban's system. Sure, Will Allen sucks, but the rest of the D is solid. Brady is breaking down, and Matt Cassel? Brooks Bollinger II.

The defense is in a shambles. Harrison is done, Teddy B is on his last good artery, Biesel is too stupid to learn the scheme, McGinest is gone, and there isn't a decent DB on the squad. Mangini sure knew when it was time to get the H outta bean town!

The last nail in the coffin is that Brady will actually have to try to win a game, instead of making Vinateirri do it for him all the time. He won't get it done. The Pats are on the downswing, no doubt about that. Major loss of talent, and no depth whatsoever. Heck, I think the Bills will beat them in Buffalo this year! Maybe coach Belly can order some more snow storms in Boston..... that's about the ONLY way they can save their season! Snowstorms in September! :lock:

Thought you'd say that, and you probably knew I'd say the following:

"Delusional Patriots fans, always living in the past!"

You gotta admit though that Big Ben's performance in the Super Bowl was awful. Tony Eason could have done better.

I'm tryin' real hard to stay out of this thread but dammit i can't resist the temptation. lol

Comparing Tony eason to Big Ben is just plain stupid IMO. Not even close. And while i won't dis-respect Tom Brady (he is among the best for winning SB's), i will say that it is clearly evident that he is more of a system QB than Ben would ever be. Yeah, Ben had a bad SB, big whoop. Ben carried that team on his back 3 straight road playoff games prior to that. There has been reason for the Steelers being beaten by the Patsy's in those AFCC's. The Pats have always been just a bit more talented. Now we have the franchise QB developed enough where he can take over games. Too bad we don't play in the reg. season this year, it would prove the directions these teams are headed IMO.

BTW Max, i have a sudden new found respect for you. Keep up the Big Ben props! LOL

I was talking about the SB, and you must admit he was bad. 9 of 21 for 123 yards with 2 picks. That is bad!

I should have mentioned Steve Grogan instead of Eason. Grogan put up these numbers in a 46-10 ass-whoopin in SBXX: 17/30 for 177 yards with 1 TD and 2 picks against one of the best defenses of all-time.

We will see how Ben does this year without Bettis.

As you said, too bad we don't play this season. I love going to Pittsburgh.

I don't buy into this system qb stuff. Sure, really good QB's play in a "system" that works to their strengths....like Brady and Big Ben. But are you telling me that if Brady goes down, Matt Cassell can step right into the system and not miss a beat? Explain Drew Bledsoe sucking eggs? At what point does the QB's talent/leadership/field vision/smarts/intangibles supersede the "system?"
