Green Jets & Ham
Haynesworth = 6' 6"/330 - 25 Years old - and a dominant tackle Yes! And I think the Titans might bite ... they're really pissed at Haynesworth ... and they play a base 43 where D-Rob is a better fit, while Haynesworth is a better fit for our base

And I think the Titans might bite ... they're really pissed at Haynesworth ... and they play a base 43 where D-Rob is a better fit, while Haynesworth is a better fit for our base 34 Haynesworth would provide a much better fit and more production in the 3-4 than DFat. The question is, does Mangini and company want to deal with all his bull$hit.
RSJ
I would make that trade without question. And I'm not so sure Haynesworth is a bad person. Just think he made a very dumb mistake in heat of battle.
The Troll
Haynesworth is NOT dominant. But, he is better than D-Rob. I'd make the trade.
Jack Straw
I make the trade in a second, but there's no way the Titans do it IMO. Haynesworth isn't a saint - people were questioning his character in the days leading up to The Draft. I'm not saying he's a future felon, but perhaps he isn't a Mangini "guy." To contradict myself, the same was said about Kevan Barlow, and Mangini had no issues bringing him aboard.

oktaren
wow, i was just thinking about this earlier. i think i might do it...AND...i think the titans would do it. in all honesty i think the titans would do it for a lot less. i really think they are sick of him and just want rid of him... i would definitely take a chance on the kid, but im not so sure mangini would... Jack Straw
Hell no, Mangini would never take someone as unbalanced and selfish as that guy..end the thread NOW!! Selfish? Selfish?! How many selfish defensive tackles in this league can you name? You're talking about playing one of the most SELFLESS positions on the field. These guys spend their days taking on 320lb guards so that their linebackers don't have to. You can call Albert Haynesworth many things, but while he's on the football field, he isn't selfish. Haynesworth has played in 83% of all games in his career. He would be a huge improvement over DFat. BTW, Brady has been listed as "questionable" for something like 60 straight games now. How many has he missed? Being listed as questionable means absolutely nothing. Nice try though.

Jimmy 2 Times
We can get him for much less. Throw a midrange pick their way to avoid the Texans or Saints from grabbing him first from the waiver wire. D-Rob has a shining future at DE.

CoachTsurfing
Can't questions his ability, but just like T.O. Great player, but a head case all the same. Would you guys take T.O. Look what he has done to 49er's, Eagles, and now the Cowboys. I do think we need to trade or get rid of D-rob. He doesn't fit the new scheme. And I was yelling and cursing when we gave up so much for him. I hate these work out wonder guys. Very few of them add up to much when they get to the nfl. D-rob is a huge bust. I think I just talked myself into trading that fat a$$.
Smizzy
Sure Haynesworth is a better player but Im not sure Id want the baggage that comes with him. I didn't want Randy Moss or Terell Owens for the same reasons. They might have all the talent in the world but they are first class a**holes who hurt the team as much as they help. I know one thing for sure. Id rather have Drob these next 5 games.

snow_monkey
I'd be happy to give them DRob in exchange for NOT getting Haynesworth. I don't want an overpaid scrub like DRob, but I sure don't want a dumb bastard like Haynesworth messing the team up either. Put Mangini in as NT. He'd kick ass and then make 'em run laps for failing to stop him.
glenn212
So you'd rather have a bunch of choir boys on the football field? Exactly what thugs are on the Pat's?? Belichick doesn't take any problem children either so why are you trying to put this on The Jets choir boy image!! Thugs and punks will let you down when it counts, they always do..Thats from over twenty years of coaching high school football to know thats an absolute FACT.. Character guys always win out in the end. Mangini is a patient man and he will get his big D line guys and not have to settle for a felon which is what Hainesworth would be this very moment if it doidn't happen on an NFL field and obviously a very christain man in Dallas who is willing to forgive. You are a good post guy on this sight but this is a poor troll move from you...piss poor I say!!
