Barton
#34 for a DB, let alone a corner back, is quite frankly, a terrible number. Assuming he doesn't switch his number (I hope he does), every time he makes a tackle, it will seem like LaMont Jordan is playing defense. Here are some numbers that Justin Miller may switch to, that are currently not being worn by any Jet player. #27 #31 #29 (Assuming Donnie Abraham retires) #20 (IF Derek Pagel gets cut) #25 (IF Reggie Tongue gets cut) I know this probably sounds stupid, but I think 34 for a DB is a stupid number......and hey, it's the offseason and it's boring as hell right now. 124
hey hey hey!!!! Shouldn't you be playing with your mike nugent action figure!!! Nah. I'm good. Can you carry out a conversation? Seriously. Justin Miller's number is not going to help or hurt his play, it's a number. How he plays on the field is what matters, not what number he is wearing. The Troll
20-39 are all cornerback numbers. Some corners even have numbers in the 40's. If Miller was still #9, then that would be stupid. 34 is perfectly fine. Recievers that wear 17 or 11 is infinitely more stupid than a cornerback wearing a number that is SUPPOSED to be assigned to him.

Im not real concerned with what number the player wears, just that they perform? Do we care that D-Rob has a number in the 60's?

Maxman
Yeah if he intercepts brady in the fourth quarter and takes it to the house for the win do we really give a SH*T Amen. But with the loss of both coordinators I doubt the game will be within reach for the Pats in the 4th Quarter.

THAT IS SO STUPID, IT IS LIKE A QUARTERBACK WEARING NUMBER 90!!!! Agreed, how retarded. 22? Who does he think he is? Emmitt Smith? Maybe someone should tell him that Smith was a running back. This is obviously going to affect his play and I must say I'm very happy about it.
BlackLabelJetsFan
I can't believe no one has pointed out the other famous Jets CB to wear #22 (no, not JetDawg) - Two time Pro Bowler, and 1988 DROY Erik McMillan.

slats
You guys are crazy. RBs should have the even numbers between 20 and 39, and CBs should have the odd numbers. Absolutely! And the truly great CB's should not only wear odd numbers, but they make sure they're prime numbers as well. Heads should roll on this one.
