Post Draft------Is Terry Bradway your guy?

Now that the dust has settled, and yet another year of the Terry Bradway regime goes by, has he earned your confidence?

After a few mediocre drafts, and some questionable decisions, has Bradway finally earned your repect as GM?

DO you feel comfortable having him lead the Jets for the forseeable future?

The guy seems to know what he's doing lately.....I think he finally "gets" it. So that being said, I trust Terry Bradway leading us in the future!!

As a Pats fan, absolutely!

After Wanny got canned in Miami, TB became

my favorite AFC East head Man. A marvelous job!

Close to divine! :P

I still give Terry a C on his tenure here. I think he often panics once his plan A falls apart and throws away draft picks. Of course everyone can lean on the making the playoffs story but with the core talent on this team (from pre Terry) they should be in the playoffs every year.

i trust him with the draft now. last years draft was amazing & this one has the same type look to it. he also does a good job of handling the cap. FA is a completly different story. bradway has made a disturbing habit of missing out on FA's within his grasp. all & all, i would still say he's become a good GM. if he can improve in FA, he'll go from good to great.

Pats record for success WITHOUT Weis and Crennel is astounding as well

Well, this retort may be a little misleading, no? The Pats have NO record to draw from with a regime that does not boast the services of Crennel/Weiss. However, the Jets do have a record to draw conclusions from. You can conclude that the Jets will be a playoff caliber team who's HC can't quite get them over that last hump.

Bradway has provided almost all the parts for a great team. Its up to Herm to assemble the parts and have good play calling...Bradway can't be blamed for certain things like the lack of a timeout call at the end of the baltimore game that cost us that game...we should have won that game..bad clock management falls on herm and dick curl.

Couldn't have put it better. A GM can only do so much. The player personnel here has been AT LEAST good enough to warrant the W/L records we've had with mediocre coaching. I'm still looking forward to the bold move by Herm that causes us to win a single game we otherwise would have lost.

Bottom line, even though the core of the team was here when TB arrived I will give him credit for keeping the core here. Yeah, he grossly overpayed for fan-favorites (Curtis, Chrebet, Pennington), was instrumental in bringing in a cheerleader for a HC, 2 lousy coordinators (and keeping them too long), his early drafting & FA acqusitions was pretty bad (Moss, Thomas, Hobson, Askew as day one picks; plus Steve White, Damien Robinson, Aaron Beasley, Chester McGlockton, and Sam Cowart come to mind), as well as short-sightedly overplaying his hand with Coles & Bryan Thomas.

He has made some excellent recent moves in the draft. Loved trading up for DRob; there were 4 marquis players in a thin draft & ended up with one of them instead of 2 mediocre first-rounders. Last year's draft is well documented as excellent. Eric Barton & Pete Kendall were great signings at positions of great need. And so far I like our '05 draft.

Overall he's kept together and/or added to a roster that should always be at least competitive. And that's ultimately what a GM is supposed to do. The charge of getting this roster of players to the SB is passed on to the coaching staff, particularly the HC. This team has enough player talent to get there.
