Can't wait for training camp

i have been a jet fan all my life. and like the other fans on this board have lived through disappointment after disappointment. every offseason there are superbowl hopes and dreams come openning day which are usually crushed b/f halftime.

i remember openning day '96 (i think) when we got so humiliated by the broncos that i knew the season was over right there. i think we gave up like 9 or 10 sacks that game and lost by 40. through it all i have stuck with them and every year can't wait for the openning game.

i for one can't wait for the 05 season to get here. i truly believe the jets have a shot at winning it all this year. for the first time since 98, when we were the best team in football for a 25 minutes b/f vinny blew out hi achilles, the jets have a legit shot to win every game on the schedule. there are no mismatches out there.

the 2005 jets have as much talent as any team in the league and have more weapons on ALL 3 sides of the ball. a new agressive OC, a young, fast, agressive d coming off a top 5 season. vilma, coleman, jabe, drob, barton, ellis, pennington, coles, martin - all stars or have potential to be stars. even herm is coming into his own as a head coach. all of the pieces are in place for a monster year.

2005 - no more excuses - the year of the jets. i can't wait for training camp.

I hear you man. The Jets are looking strong. There are a few big question marks (Chad's health, is Adrian Jones ready) that will be answered in Camp.

Big things this year. Big things.

(Insert Tx, 9 and 7 - 3 team tiebreaking division win joke here)

Yawn.

The EXACT same thing Jet fans have said for the past 36 years.

Nothing will be different this year.

And why is it that anybody that mentions the Jets chances this year (or any other year for a matter of fact) it always has to be preceeded by "PennyBoy's health".

Even if your so-called overpaid pristine china doll figurine is capable of staying on the field (highly doubtful), he is still only an average NFL QB at best.

Sorry to rain on your parade. I know the off-season is the absolute highlight of being a Jet fan.

I'll answer this one for Tex...

Why would they need win WITHOUT him?

How many games has Brady missed? How about Brittle Bones?

Ah, everytime I lose faith in Jet fan's intelligence, one always seems to come through and give me a ray of hope.
