ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Denver Broncos have acquired P Todd Sauerbrun from the Carolina Panthers in exchange for P Jason Baker and 2006 seventh-round draft choice. The deal is expected to be announced Thursday, May 19.

carolina is so emulating the Pats...No turds allowed.

That really pisses me off. That lets me know that one of the top three punters in the league could've been had for chickenscratch. Micah Knorr and a 6th would have been well worth it for Sauerbraun. Hell, it would've been a heist. But then, why shore up our punting situation? This is the Jets afterall.
