Jetsfan80
Jets | McGraw Recovery going Well Wed, 15 Jun 2005 Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Jets S Jon McGraw (sports hernia) is rehabbing well from his sports-hernia surgery, although he won't do any team drills until training camp. Well, 124 must be happy his boy is coming along well in his recovery. I would guess that his main role next season will be covering TE's, even though he is still "the next John Lynch". Jets | Feeling Good About Safety Situation Wed, 15 Jun 2005 Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports the release of S Reggie Tongue Wednesday, June 15, shows the New York Jets are comfortable with their current safety situation. Earlier speculation had Tongue being a cap casualty, but he restructured his deal and remained with the team through their minicamp and organized team activity practices. The team likes safeties Jon McGraw, Rashad Washington and Oliver Celestin. They also added safeties Kerry Rhodes and Andre' Maddox via the NFL Draft. Derek Pagel: next cut Oliver Celestin: why is he still here? One quick question: What is Henderson going to do with Kerry Rhodes? Is he going to be strictly on special teams, or will he be fighting for playing time with Coleman and McGraw at the FS spot?
Barton
Derek Pagel = Hitchhiker on the LI expressway in 3 weeks If McGraw can stay healthy, I truly believe he can be 1 of the best safeties in the NFL. When he plays out there, he is ALWAYS around the ball, and he has shown he can cover the TE as well as anybody on our roster by far. The ironic thing is, he's in a contract year. If he stays healthy, he'll have a big year and he'll be a hot commodity on the open market........or he gets injured again and nobody but the 49ers will give him a look. oh well the balls in your court mcglass

I'll take the latter of those 2 scenarios and bet the farm (If I had one).
TomShane
McGraw will never stay healthy. He just does not have a football body. You do not just work your way into one of those. It's impossible.
