nj meadowlands
1. Randy Moss, Raiders People might not like him, but he's the best receiver in the game. He will put up amazing numbers for the Raiders this season. 2. Marvin Harrison, Colts Peyton Manning's go-to guy is the best route runner in the game. He knows how to get open and he's tougher than people think. 3. Terrell Owens, Eagles His Super Bowl performance says all you need to know about this guy's game. He's a tough competitor who loves to play the game. 4. Chad Johnson, Bengals With Carson Palmer developing into a potential Pro Bowl player this season, Johnson should be even better. He's a heck of a deep threat. Just ask him. 5. Torry Holt, Rams There is no slowdown in his game. He's coming off another productive season, and there's no reason to think he won't do it again. 6. Andre Johnson, Texans In his second season in the league, he developed into a Pro Bowl receiver. He's big, strong and fast. That's a tough combination to defend. 7. Hines Ward, Steelers If there's a tougher receiver, let's see him. Ward is the kind of player coaches love. With Plaxico Burress gone, he will have to do even more. 8. Javon Walker, Packers He's a deep threat who emerged as Brett Favre's big-play receiver. Walker can flat out run and his long stride makes him deceptively fast. 9. Joe Horn, Saints The thinking was he would start to slow down, but that's not the case. He had another big season in 2004. 10. Laveranues Coles, Jets The Jets believe Coles will return to his big-play ways now that he's back in New York with Chad Pennington. He was used improperly in Washington. RPI Red Hawk
Though i believe you are correct with those being potentially the top 10 wr's this coming season, Your order is a little shaky. 1. Randy Moss, Obviously 2. Marvin Harrison 3. Chad Johnson 4. Tory Holt 5. Terrell Owens 6. Andre Johnson 7. Javon Walker 8. Laveranues Coles 9. Hines Ward 10. Joe Horn Not to mention the uprising of potential de-throners like Roy Williams, Michael Clayton, Jerry Porter, and Reggie Wayne. The top ten could fluxuate at any time. RPI Red Hawk
This year, yes he is. He will not repeat last year because he's bitching and moaning about a contract. He's better than 5, but he won't show that this year.

PFSIKH
Coles at 10? Just another example of Prisco being on the Jets' payroll and giving needless and excessive ball washing.

TomShane
Coles at 10? Just another example of Prisco being on the Jets' payroll and giving needless and excessive ball washing. Have to agree. Coles is top-20, but not top-10. He could be, one day, but he's not there yet.

I definitely think Coles is a top 10 talent. I also think if he were a Redskin, and someone asked PFSIKH to make this list, he would include Coles. RPI Red Hawk
Moulds = Great receiver, However, i would not take him over the guys mentioned in the top ten. As for McCareins, he's a SOLID receiver. Does what he is supposed to do, but nothing spectacular. Doesn't have blazing speed or phenomenal route running skills. But his hands are good and he gets the yards he needs. And whoever it was that put TO over Moss is out of his mind. TO is amazing, he was my #1 wide out for fantasy football but i will be the first to admit that his attitude this year is different from last year and will reflect in his gameplay. Just look at his comments about his own QB. He's starting trouble just like he did in SF.

I didn't believe it when he was in San Fran because of that system, but watching what he did in Philly with McKnuckleball really turned my view of him around. Alk
I DEMAND RESPECT!! Bethel Johnson should be on that list. I would say 6 at least, that's probably being conservative though. And what about David Terrell?

TO plays the whole game - moss plays when he wants. as a pure pass catcher moss may be better. as a WR - the total package TO is #1.

The Troll
Hines Ward may be the most under-rated player in football. He should be top three, bar none. Definitely not rated behind Andre FN Johnson.

I also think if he were a Redskin, and someone asked PFSIKH to make this list, he would include Coles. The hell I would. 1. TO - Despise him if you want, but he is the best. TO is a load to handle. 2. Moss - #1 in talent, but his attitude on the field sucks. 3-5. Marvin Harrison - Not the biggest but productive as they come. 3-5. Hines Ward - Read #3. 3-5. Torry Holt - Redad #3. 6. Andre Johnson - The best young wideout. 7. Chad Johnson - The second n=best young wideout. 8. Eric Moulds - The best wideout in the AFC East. 9. Isaac Bruce - Could be in the 3-5 group, but has 12 years. 10. Derrick Mason - Would be in the 3-5 group if not for a slow start to career. I think Coles was an excellent pick-up but he is a outside the Top 10.

TomShane
Hines Ward may be the most under-rated player in football. He should be top three, bar none. Definitely not rated behind Andre FN Johnson. Gotta agree there. Especially considering the nitwits who play QB for that team, him getting as many catches and making as many plays as he does is amazing. Andre Johnson, Roy Williams, Ronald Curry and Mike Williams, in five years, will have re-defined the position however. You're talking about four guys, all over 6'2", all over 220 lbs. who are just as effective running a fly pattern as they are running a crossing pattern against LB's. Probably should also mention Michael Clayton of the Bucs, too, but I haven't seen him play.
Alk
Wow, Dan Klecko better than Daniel Graham. This is receivers, not blockers. While Graham's hands have gotten much better, they still pale in comparison to Klecko's. He was born to be a receiver.
