This is the most bizarre mock that I've seen. I can't believe Henne's stock has risen this far. Also, no Cromartie? That kid's gonna fly up the charts post-combine. PS. Some really good players throughout the first round (and beyond).
Favorite_Toon
why not mcfadden? oh I forgot we are already set for the future in that position... leon run to the sideline washington and thomas cant break a 20 yard run is better

We have only 1 potential Pro Bowl player at Center and that's it. Can't have a good running game w/o a decent O-line.
Favorite_Toon
Offense line we can address via free agency.. we dont need to spend top draft picks for one.. I rather have had cutler or leinert before Dbrick.. stil could have gotten Mangold.. I was saying it beofe the draft and I still say it to this day.. NIGHT STALKER
I have a feeling are going defense first round....watch. Leinert? are you kidding me? We better be going defense...McFadden? Yeah, that would have beat the Pats in the SB. Giants showed the way...DEFENSE!

Defense no doubt... but they also have a big target 6-5 reciever..and an o-line and a franchise Qb.. and a very good running backs.. we have neither.. Sperm Edwards
what? why not..Matt leinert could be a good qb in this league.. he stuck in arizona..with great recivers..no running game and no o-line.. Like the way Warner was "stuck" there en route to 27 TD's in like a dozen starts this past year? Leinart has some talent, so it remains to be seen if he's a total bust. But so far he's just an awful, awful quarterback.

gangreenman
Defense no doubt... but they also have a big target 6-5 reciever..and an o-line and a franchise Qb.. and a very good running backs.. we have neither.. The two keys to that whole team are OL and DL. Toomer is below avg. and Plax is good, but nothing special. Id certainly rather Jones and Leon over Bradshaw and Jacobs. I think we all saw how Manning looked when he didnt have good protection the last couple of years. OL and DL. The Giants once again prove how far those two positions can take a team. You don't build a DL like the giants have with one draft. The Jets offense was embarrassing last year. They need McFadden.
PFSIKH
Say it with me. New England is not drafting a LB in the first round. I would normally agree with you. However, unlike normal years when there is a bevy of VIlma sized LBers. There are several in the Patriots mold of big 250+ and former DE/OLBs. Gholston - 6'4" 258 - Top 10 Harvey - 6'5" 252 - Top 15 Grooves - 6'5" 250 - Top 20 Depending no how these players are rated in April, the Patriots could easily go for a LBer or trade down a few spaces and still snag one. Or he will and trade down and draft a TE.

LWC611
If we pick Mcfadden I will scream. Much like I did when I watched all damn day (two or three years ago) for us to make our first pick and it was a kicker a @#$@# kicker....Nugent We do not need a RB we need to work on the lines. Free Agency and the Draft.

If you are right, we better fix that line or we could make him a bust but nothing is guranteed Well I've been saying the fix the line for 3 years. afosomf
i would draft D lineman in 1st 3 rds other rds LB's and OL FA O Lineman and a WR What Gints proved is, a great D line masks all other positions The Gints secondary is average at best, with a prolific pass rush they turn into 4 all pros. If the Giants way was so great they wouldn't be at least five teams with better odds to win the next Super Bowl. The Giants had a great run and played a tremendous game, but falling love with the way they do things? It's more likely they finish last than first next year. Top 5 level QBs do NOT have growing pains. Especially not in week 12. They were 4-4 after the bye, including Eli's interception-fest v. the Vikes and spitting the bit v. the 'skins in a game with important playoff implications. Ward is their best back and is a FA. They won the big one and they appear to be in good shape, but they did not establish any trend that the rest of the league should follow. In the AFC they probably would not have made the playoffs. Not only do I think they won't make it back, I'm pretty certain they won't win their division. I'll put all my Jared Lorenzen MVP money on that.
