Smizzy
Jets | Pennington Ready to Play Thu, 28 Jul 2005 00:25:41 -0700 Ken Berger, of Newsday, reports New York Jets QB Chad Pennington (shoulder) vowed that he is physically ready to lead the Jets past the obstacles they could not overcome last season. "Your quarterback is ready to play," Pennington relayed to jittery Jets fans in an interview near the team's Hofstra training complex. "Your quarterback has done everything in his power to get ready to play, and he's very excited about helping lead this team to a championship and bringing a championship back to New York. I think about that every day. When it happens, it's going to be pretty amazing. I just want to make sure I enjoy the journey and enjoy every moment." Pennington revealed that his right arm went "completely numb" after he was tackled by LBs Joey Porter and Clark Haggans just before halftime of the Jets' 20-17 playoff loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in January. The numbness subsided in the second half. Now Pennington is driven to complete the recovery process, which he estimates has 15 percent to go. 124
People it's time to start believing that Chad will be ok. I've believed all throughout that he'd be ready for September 11th and he will be. Stop worrying, it's happening.

BwanaZulia
Yo Gun, how is your shoulder feeling after a year and a half after surgery? Thought so. If only the Gun had a few million dollars worth of Drs and trainers to get him ready. Back of Tx, our QB is ready to play. He is not ready for a Gap ad, but he is ready to play. BZ As a Pats fan, I would much rather face the Jets with PennyBoy floundering under center than face the Jets with Fiedler at QB.

Worried that he is going to flap his ears and fly over your defense? Oh wait, what defense? Shall we play a game of "Who is going to retire from the Patriots today?" Jetsfan80
I have a feeling Chad gives it the old college try and plays in the opener. However, he will probably do more damage and miss multiple games afterwards. Pray to God Jay Fiedler knows what he's doing.
Jetme23
Chad is 29. If he gets injured another year, is body will be in pretty bad condition. Marcus Vick in 06. or 07. Groom him, then watch him play.
