A question of football ethics

I've been thinking about this for the past few days and was wondering what the board thought.

What is to prohibit free agent/traded/cut players bringing their playbooks from their old team to their new team? I'm sure there might be something written into a contract but think about it what is really stopping them?

Makes ya wonder how the Pats sign about 100 free agents every year and continue to crank out winners.

1) The playbook is the first thing that's handed in when a player gets cut. They have a better chance of leaving the campus with their helmet than they are their playbook.

2) The training camp playbook is relatively worthless anyway. Base sets, base plays. If you were going to gain an advantage by stealing info, it would be done by looting a weekly gameplan on a Wednesday, not the playbook in August.

Quick question for Jet fans:

Does Hermy even put together a gameplan?

if a team plays 16 games / year and runs ~ 80 plays /game then opposing teams have over 1200 plays per year to watch on film and break down.

who needs the playbook and the terminology when all of the plays are on film. hell, brian billick gave his playbook the media so they could better understand the game.

Herm's awesome. But I challenge anyone who meets him to ask him to give you a single offensive play call.:lol:

Witty you are.

Insightful about Herm you are not.

Can someone troll on their own website? Is that even possible?
