TomShane
Houston reportedly looks great at camp, and EB had written an article on him earlier this week, so we wanted to get it out there. If Houston becoems a star, we will all have to credit Barton for being on Houston's jock even before the draft. So far, the kid looks like a psychic. faba
Ericbarton- I watch a lot of college games and was always impressed seeing Houston play at Tennesseee- and to think he was playing with a major medical condition. He showed me a good burst through the holes and always running with authority. As a six round pick I think in the long run this can turn out to be a great pick for the Jets. Good article Barton

Good article Barton I agree and thanks. I dont remember who tennesse was playing, but I was actually tuning in to watch a defensive player on the team facing tennesse and thats when I noticed #21 Cedric Houston. It was the first game of college football for UT so whenever they were on nationally televised TV I tuned in to watch the tennessee offense because I wanted to watch Houston. I remember this 1 play very cleary. 3rd and 4 ( or so ), handoff to Cedric....BIG BURST AFTER THE HANDOFF......USINGS HIS SHOULDER AND RUNS THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE DLINE AND PICKS UP THE 1st Down. I said to mysself "Damn, who the f*** is this?"

Preston Howley III
I recall all those glowing articles about that running back out of Hofstra, and then the one from that other Long Island school (CC Post or some such sht)- Smart, I think it was. Gotta love the first day of TC.

Garb
I 'gotta give credit where credit is due. I find it astonishing that someone of your age has the confidence to do what you do. If you acutally survive your teens, it should serve you well in adulthood and almost ensure financial success. I still find you annoying though.... Preston Howley III
CW Post. What about that other guy they brought in from Hofstra; thought he was a rock star 'cos he was invited to Jets TC and he was on Hofstra U, like, 3 AM playing his car radio real loud and the campus cops busted him or some such crap. What a joker that guy was.

Savage69
3rd round pick, #74 overall in 1995. Here's a interesting thought Tex..In the 6th rd the Pats picked right before Denver and could have also had Terrell Davis!! Martin for a 3rd pick was a good bang for the buck pick and his first 2 years he scored 28 TD's! Had he done that for the Jets I'd be happy!! That's great production for a 3rd rounder..However the price the Jets paid was MUCH Higher and Cumars production has been much lower!!But who can blame him for turning his back on the Team that drafted him and started him as a rookie?? Big Bucks Rule!! I mean If a Jet left for Big Bucks(Coles and many others)would we be Mad???
