Maxman
He has been throwing in one session a day. And it seems that he hasn't really aired it out much yet. What do you think they will do with him in the preseason games? I say it breaks down like this: Game 1 - No playing time Game 2 - 1 Quarter Game 3 - 1 Half Game 4 - ??? Not sure about this one. Tough call since starters don't play a lot normally. Be he is going to need the reps if they want him to start the season.

Based on that schedule with a totally new offense, I'll bet PennyBoy's timing and execution will be exceptionally crisp in the opener against the Chiefs. Shocking. You posted that something is bad for the Jets. Pennington was right on the money in Albany. Certainly it is only practiced but I walked away thinking that this offense is going to work. So Max, how many deep 15-yard timing outs did PennyBoy hit that day? Or how did he do on Dinger's intermediate crossing routes over the middle? Get the point? TomShane
How long do you think it will take teams to figure out that our QB can't throw it 25 yards?
Maxman
So Max, how many deep 15-yard timing outs did PennyBoy hit that day? 7 of 9 Or how did he do on Dinger's intermediate crossing routes over the middle? 3 of 4. They worked on this mostly in the AM session. He sat that one out.

PatsFanTX
7 of 9 For arguements sake, let's assume the ball was in the middle of the field between the hash marks. 5-step drop, 15-yard out, 10 yards from middle of field to sideline. So you are saying PennyBoy was firing 30-yard passes on a rope with precise timing? That's not what the media reported.

TomShane
http://www.fplc.edu/tfield/copynet.htm#lim Fair use is one of the most important, and least clear cut, limits to copyright. It permits some use of others' works even without approval. But when? Words like "fair" or "reasonable" cannot be precisely defined, but here are a few benchmarks. Uses that advance public interests such as criticism, education or scholarship are favored -- particularly if little of another's work is copied. Uses that generate income or interfere with a copyright owner's income are not. Fairness also means crediting original artists or authors. (A teacher who copied, without credit, much of another's course materials was found to infringe.) Commercial uses of another's work are also disfavored. For example, anyone who uses, without explicit permission, others' work to suggest that they endorse some commercial product is asking for trouble! Yet, not all commercial uses are forbidden. Most magazines and newspapers are operated for profit; that they are not automatically precluded from fair use has been made clear by the U.S. Supreme Court. The good news is, it costs $30 bucks to pop a copyright onto something-- A keen investment strategy if you ask me. However, we've never had JI content cut and pasted onto here in full, but we have had our (specifically, my) content c&p'ed over there, which they are more than welcome to. TomShane
Lets handcuff TomShane's testicles till he agrees to love the Law signing. I love it. But I'm not buying my Super Bowl ticket because of it. Like Chad's shoulder, I'll believe Law is healthy when I see it with my own two eyes. Last I heard, one's feet play a large role in tackling. GimmeShelter
PENNINGTON UPDATE QB Chad Pennington, who hurt his left leg but continued to practice with it wrapped, had another good day. He didn't throw any deep balls (approximately 40 yards) but he was dead-on with his short and medium-range passes. http://www.nj.com/jets/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/112356817070690.xml&coll=
