I'm sure many of the rest of you got it, too.

Dear Robert,

Training Camp is in full swing and we are looking forward to what promises to be another winning season for the New York Jets. If you want to know how the 2005 team is shaping up, join us at Training Camp and get a behind-the-scenes sneak preview.

I also want to update you on where the team is headed off the field. Since Woody Johnson became the owner in 2000, we have worked hard to create what the Jets have never had but still deserve a home of our own. Last month, we came within one vote of making the dream of a new Jets stadium a reality. But an obscure state board refused to fund infrastructure improvements which the team was willing to match with the largest private sports investment in history - $1.6 billion.

While we continue to pursue our own stadium in New York, we must now consider other options. The Jets recently entered into talks with the Giants to explore a proposed new Meadowlands stadium that would house both teams on truly equal footing. The discussions are in the early stages and no timeframe has been set to make a final decision.

Meanwhile, the Jets won a major victory when the NJSEA agreed to a rent reduction, recognizing our right to equal treatment with the Giants under the terms of our existing lease. In exchange, we agreed to settle our lawsuit against the NJSEA.

As developments unfold in New York and New Jersey in the coming months, we will send out regular updates. But we also want to hear from our fans. Please let us know what you think the Jets should consider in exploring a new stadium by sending us an e mail at stadium2@newyorkjets.com.

We're all looking forward to opening day and watching the Jets take the field as playoff contenders and cheering them on with the best fans in the NFL.

Go Jets

Sincerely,
