Preston Howley III
Yup. I think it goes without saying, the guy hears footsteps. He's like Anthony Becht, without any balls.
RSJ
Yeah he looked bad. But I thought Harry Williams looked good with the exception of the one ball that hit his hands and he dropped. The only problem was Bollinger could hit anything.
Bugg
Can't drop balls like that.
Alk
But...but....this guy was a lock for the 53...what the....this can't be possible. Oh that's right, he had already been cut by the Patriots so I saw this coming from about 100 miles away.
Barton
If he does this again he should be cut. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Somebody as big as him should be alittle tougher, jmo. If Harry Williams would not have been on the same field with Bollinger all of us would be talking about how great of a game Williams had. Williams beat his man deep at least 2 times and Bollinger could not throw the ball accurately enough.
faba
I admit I have been one of the big Gessner booster from Albany scrimmage- yeah he had a bad game-in his position he probably could not afford it-it will be hard to make it up
Maxman
Williams and Gessner are BOTH gone. Bollinger should be gone as well. I thought Gessner was having a great camp until his little melt down last night. His first drop (went right through his hands) was dangerous. Because that is the kind of ball that goes for 7 the other way.

I thought the exact same thing as you. I thought they were going to have a hard time but that Carter was gone. After last night I think 5 WRs is all we are going to have. And the 5th one will be named Carter. Before that game I really though Gessner was going to steal the 5 spot. Carter is too soft so I think they are looking for a reason to get rid of him. I thought Williams and Gessner both layed a major egg last night. I know it seems harsh but these kids don't get many chances.

Barton
Max, Williams was actually pretty good. Bollinger was TERRIBLE. Unlike Gessner, Williams caught 2 passes when he knew he was gonna get smacked. On the long pass, Williams had his man beat by a good distance and if Pennington or even Fielder had been playing he would have gotten the pass over his shoulder instead of 5 yards overthrow near the sidelines. Similar play where Bollinger overthrew Williams happened again, this time from the left side. The play where Williams dropped the pass was not his fault. McQuarters was arm barring him and pulling on his waist and by the time he was set free the pass was already at his hands, he didnt expect that. McQuarters should have been called for pass interference on Williams for the 2nd time, but he got away with it.
stormshadow19
Max, I dunno which game you were watching, but Brooks couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with his passes. I thought Williams did just fine in his first game. I'd rather him try and catch passes from an actual NFL QB. Cause Brooks isn't an actual NFL QB. He wasn't a QB in college. He just handed the ball off.

Read the training camp report after the Albany deal. We put him on the MUST CUT LIST.
RSJ
The only way carter makes this team is if Miller lays a major egg when returning.
SoFlaJets
ya goota believe he's on a short leash this week-I kinda feel for the guy,a TC star implodes in-game.Harry Williams played like a vet-he is one of the 5 WR's along with the IMO 4 TE's(that includes Dearth)

I just wouldn't judge him based on trying to catch floaters from Brooks. He looked fine, last night, I thought. He may be destined for the PS but he could squeak in as the number five. GimmeShelter
We have seen Carter long enough and have been teased here and there( Colts game 2 years ago for one) I would give Williams a shot and say so long to Carter. I think Cimini thought Carter was playing his way of the team as well. What did you guys think of Fiedler?

It seemed as if he was not in full stride. Maybe I was wrong though. Either way. BOLLINGER SUCKS. No way should he be on the team. Bring back Tom Tupa for crying out loud. Honestly, I wasn't really paying attention, all that close, towards the end of the game. So, I didn't see every replay. I did see most of the live stuff. The sideline grab Williams made, where Brooks lead him too far... that was a damn good grab, if he was able to stay inbounds.

It was hard to tell on the one play. Williams definitly was not ready for the ball. Now whether it was his fault or Bollinger's you really couldn't say. The one thing I took away is that BB didn't appear to be in rythem with anyone. It is a fair statement to say that he was playing with lesser talent possibly. He just doesn't do anything for me as a QB. I really wanted the Jets to take Adrain McPherson or a QB that Dinger could mold and was a little bit of a project but has raw talent. I always liked M Blackwell.

He was the guy BB sent down the road the first year wasn't he? You know, the year Vinny decided to go cowboy. Why did VT want out? What happened to Akili, and Husak, J. Martin, and QC and who else?? Oh yea, Frito Ray too. You don't stay 3 seasons in the NFL by "just handing off" in college, no matter what Paul Hackett has to say about it. Adrian "McDoubleDown" will always wonder about "the spread" in the game, not his QB rating. You're right, add to team "character" and make Dinger earn his paycheck molding raw high school talent.
