KevinMawae'sEyebrows
Hey all, I am looking to move from staten island to New Jersey. I would like to stay sorta close to the Island somewhere in Central Jersey. The towns that I am sort of familiar with are Sayreville and Old Bridge. I have been to Manalapan once which was nice but I heard it is very expensive. I am looking for a good neighborhood with good schools that is reasonable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. __________________

Maxman
Depending on your price range Old Bridge might be the best bet for you. Houses are still semi-reasonably priced there. I can't really comment on the schools (other than to say I consistently lost to them in every sport in H.S.) Your choices for staying real close the the island are pretty much Old Bridge and Sayreville like you stated. You would be very close to the bridge at that point. If you wanted to travel another 15 minutes or so there are a lot of nice options in Monmouth County. Depends on your price range. Feel free to PM me with more specific questions if you have any. Would be glad to help out. Good luck.

faba
I moved from Staten Island to Holmdel in Monmouth County 7 years ago. Just about any place in the area has very good schools- property taxes will be much higher than you are used to but the quality of living you can not beat. If you work in manhattan you have to take your commutting options into consideration. If you have any questions feel free to ask me Frank

shawn306
Don't waste your time coming to New Jersey. The prices are way too high, the taxes are through the roof and the politicians make Tony Soprano look like a born again Christian. Dead serious. There are more people right now I think trying to leave the state then come here.
