Smizzy
Dolphins | Feeley May Have to Fight to Hold the No. 2 Spot Sun, 14 Aug 2005 20:59:09 -0700 Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports it appears Miami Dolphins QB Gus Frerotte is close to wrapping up the team's starting quarterback position. While conventional wisdom says QB A.J. Feeley would then be the No. 2 quarterback, that scenario is apparently not locked in. The advantage Feeley holds over QB Sage Rosenfels for the backup job apparently is closing. Rookie QB Brock Berlin also is gaining on Feeley as he continues to make a case for a spot somewhere on the Dolphins roster. Head coach Nick Saban said all four will play and the competition among them isn't only for the starting job. "I think there's a competition on our team at every position as to who ends up where," Saban said when asked if there is a battle for the No. 2 quarterback spot.
