*** Food at Citi Field

http://*******.seriou****s.com/2009/03/first-look-at-citi-field-food-concession-stands-baseball-mets-shakeshack-danny-meyer.html

Never thought I'd see the day where I might want to head out to the ballpark for a good meal, but just looking at the pictures is making me hungry. Just one small correction is the Shake Shack and similar "Taste of the City" food courts are located behind CF, not Home Plate.

Edit: What the hell with the censors?

(Not the best picture, but you can see the logo on top of the dugouts)

Also mildly newsworthy, MLBPA to open up a shop in Citi Field, first one of it's kind.

I don't know if you were ever in the old ballpark. If you were, did it have the same "old look"?

Old ballpark like the one before the ruined it in the 70's? No. I wasn't there, but if you where, you're going to LOVE the frieze around the whole grandstand.

Thank you for this, Tyler. I'm psyched that it looks like the original. Yeah, I started going to games as a kid around 1965-66, maybe 10-15 games a year. Always Bat Day, too, with my best friends, as the bats were what we used on the sandlots of Staten Island. I hated what they did to the Stadium in the 70s. Plus, it sucked going to Shea for games for a year and a half. I can't wait to take my son this summer.

SI.com takes some Citi Field photos, looks to be a bit outdated, but some different shots.

Mets Get a Late-Night Sneak Preview of Citi Field

Out from the buses they spilled, marching through a gate, down a corridor and around a corner until, finally, there it was. Home. The Mets’ shiny, new clubhouse awaited. And as Carlos Delgado poked his head inside at about 10:55 p.m. Thursday, he surveyed the sheer size of it all and said, “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the big leagues.”

His teammates, arriving at Citi Field fresh off a flight from Florida that landed two and a half hours late, followed suit, each more mesmerized than the next. After locating his locker, Jos

I have a feeling Im going to like the old Stadium much, much better.

Me too, and I'm a Yankee fan. Maybe pictures don't do justice. I'll wait til after the Cleveland series to reserve judgement, I'll be at the Saturday game.

I think Citi Field actually looks better. :(

Pictures defiently don't do it justice. It's jaw dropping when you walk in.

CF and NYS are 2 completely different ballparks.

Why?

CitiField is nice but it's a tribute to the Giants and Dodgers. The Mets don't have a history like the Yanks(no one does) but they have enough history to honor their past but they seem to like to honor the past of 2 teams that ran out on New York.

I don't see how it's a tribute to the Giants, appears its only a tribute to the Dodgers, being that Fred Wilpon is a Dodger die hard, that shouldn't surprise anyone.

The color scheme inside is NY Giants colors and the fence at the gates has the old NY Giant NY logo.
