Preston Howley III
Are we just whistling in the dark? Re: Oliver Celestin "He's tough," Jets coach Herman Edwards said. "He's a good special-teams player, and he's a guy that we have asked to do a lot of different things. We asked him to play cornerback, safety and dime. There are a lot of different things going on in his head right now. He's in there all night watching tape, trying to improve himself. You like guys like that." Edwards has turned nearly his entire secondary over to youngsters, with the exception of newly signed veteran cornerback Ty Law. Second-year pro Erik Coleman joins Celestin at safety, second-year man Derrick Strait is the starting nickel back and rookie Justin Miller is the third cornerback behind starters Law and David Barrett, a sixth-year pro. __________ Dunno. The way Herm is building up this guy Oliver Celestin -cut twice from two different teams- sounds like more wind and sails.
TomShane
Kerry Rhodes will start. Celestin will disappear. The Jets secondary will give up some huuuuuge plays this year.

You're making alot of sense. I think the master plan with Bradway and Herm was to first build the D-line, then the Linebackers, and now the secondary. They are trimming the fat, but maybe the meat is just a little to lean, now. Keep your fingers crossed that Law stays injury free, or this thing goes up in smoke.
