QB generally needs to be locked up, long term, and with alot of money. Re: McNabb, Culpepper, Manning, and Vick all with contracts over 100 million. Abe is a DE. That's pretty much it. I know it's only been preseason, but the first unit has gotten very little pressure on opposing QB's. Obviously a major problem. JAbe is the answer. And I think it's okay if he sees limited playing time the first 2 to 3 weeks of the season; less wear and tear on his body early in the season may translate to his being there when we need him in the post season. John Abe makes the Jets a better defense when he is playing. Period. End of story. So, while I am not happy with his holding out, injuries, his past "sicknesses", his attitude and all of the rest, I am willing to see him hit the field, dominate in the games and play the full season.
