The Gun Of Bavaria
Not sure if any of you remember this: But the last time the Lions were on MNF was October of 2001, where the crowd at the Silverdome, sick of their team which was down something like 38-0 in the 3rd, started the chant of a lifetime. 80,000 fans chanting: "Let's Go Red Wings" At a NFL game.. R44
Anyone here starting to think Mariucci's a bit overrated? He took over the 49ers at their apex in the 1990's and really never got them back to the Super Bowl. When Steve Young left, they needed to bring in the venerable Bill Walsh to save Mariucci's and Dwight Clark's (former GM) sorry behind's....After Mooch and Clark had a string of terrible drafts, Walsh pulled off a few great drafts --notably 2000 -- and brought Garcia from the CFL to save them from being terrible for a while. Once Walsh left again, Mooch high-tailed to his buddy Millen's liar, before the 49ers ship sank again. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm not 100% sure why Mooch is a star coach, as the mainstream media thinks.
Barton
Holy crap, that was scary. Terry Fair, in case you missed it, went for a tackle and his head dove too low his head and neck did a whiplash back. He was quivering on the floor, very scary. I hope he is ok. He put gave a thumbs up to the crowd while being hauled off on the cart.

GimmeShelter
One must watch guy in this game is Steven Jackson. He may end up being every bit as good as he says he will be. The guy is a talent and not shy to tell you about it. Will be interesting to see if the HC sticks to his vow to run more this year.

stormshadow19
Hockey sucks You suck. Anyway... the Lions are awful. I dunno what I was thinking. That offensive line would be better suited to be replaced with orange cones or something. The QB would have about a second or more to establish a rhythm. And there'd be a better running game. Cause, we all know that daunted Rams d-line! And that defense... or lack there of... They're going to be worse than the Bears. mark it down. As a Rookie behind Faulk he had 134 carries and avg 5 yds per..Faulk at 32 is clearly on the way down! If Martz has a clue Jackson will be the starter!! If Martz has a clue Jackson will be the starter!! If Herm Edwards was the coach of the Rams, Faulk would start for 3 more seasons and he'd use Jackson sparingly until he finally left town and went to conference rival Atlanta.
