If the Jets are waiting around while the Ravens go to the Super Bowl, every other coaching vacancy will get filled, and those new coaches will start filling out their staffs. The Ravens, upon losing Ryan, will refuse permission for the Jets to talk to Rex's love interest, Mike Pettine, for DC (which they could do anyway) because of the dried up coaching pool...
