R44
Looks like former Patriots pre-season announcer (miss those Dunkin' Doughnuts ads every 5 seconds) Jerry Glanville is back into the coaching racket--DC of the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. Anyhow, rumor has it Jerry wants attention and has instructed his players to cheap shot college glamour boy Matt Lienart. Should be a humbling night for Glanville and his pal June Jones USC expects Hawaii to blitz, but will the Trojans' fears of possible late hits against their Heisman Trophy winner prove true? http://www2.dailynews.com/sports/ci_2990897 ******* I usually don't do this (plug/link DD), but today's got some good stories on 2 small schoolers draft fans should like: http://draftdaddy.com/Blog/reset.cfm

Good point Tom, but USC definitely has to be vigilant to protect their star.....Glanville's teams have been prone towards cheap shots. BTY, the game is on ESPN2 Saturday Night (7pm) and this angle (trying to injure Lienart) has definitely piqued my interest in the game P.S: They better get a cheap shot on a blitz, because Melila Purcell and his linemates will be overwhelmed by USC's line

R44
I get your point Tom, if I'm able to watch some games tonight, I'll catch the Jets-Eagles clash a bit, but will be facinated more by the college action. BTY, USC versus Hawaii is Saturday...And wait till Glanville see's Winston Justice and Sam Baker at OT, his players won't touch Lienart---USC has 2nd string O-Lineman better than Warriors top rushers (although Melila Purcell is fairly highly regarded for Hawaii at DE). Only shot Hawaii has is if they can get into a major shootout, because the Trojans will easily score 50 on them.
TomShane
I'll actually be curious to see how Leinart handles it. The only real question remaining is how well will Leinart handle a physical game? If he comes out short-arming alot of throws to save his knees, alot of eyebrows will be raised. I think the D line of Oklahoma was a little more intimidating than Hawaii. 47-7 USC.
