Tom - that was another occasion when Mel blasted the Jets. He also blasted the Colts for thier pick of Alberts and then one of the Irsay's I believe went off on Mel it was histerical. Actually, Kiper's target was Jim Harbaugh, so he was wrong....Melly Mel told the TV audience he loved Alberts, but "chumped" then Colts GM Bill Tobin for not selecting Trent Dilfer, claiming Harbaugh wasn't even close to a starting caliber QB and Dilfer was a "franchise QB". .he was wrong with Harbaugh and he was wrong with Trev--But people forget Harbaugh was the target and give Mel credit for claiming Trev would stink. BTY, mark it down: Jim Harbaugh will be star college coach out west and soon....He's in the "next wave" of elite, young coaches. ***** P.S: Mark May lost my respect Monday when he claimed the Miami LB's were the best in America.....What the F' is he smoking?
