Smizzy
Jets | Three-Man Rotation Planned on Punt Returns Thu, 8 Sep 2005 13:17:03 -0700 Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports the New York Jets are planning to go with a three-man rotation at punt returner. WR Justin McCareins will handle punts near the goal line for ball security, while rookie CB Justin Miller and WR Jerricho Cotchery will split the kicks closer to midfield. 4HCrew
I have to say I hate the fact that Jmac is back there. Yes he catches the ball but I would hate to see him get hurt back there when there are other capable returners on the team. Cotcherry always looks smooth and has explosive ability. 124
JMac being back there is stupid. Miller and Cotchery both need to be given a chance, if either fumbles, or both, THEN you replace them, until that time, don't be so damn conservative. Alk
This is one time I'll say the Jets are doing something right. You don't want a guy who might make a really bad decision when the ball is landing inside the 10 yd line. The Patriots did the exact same thing. Dwight handled all the returns until it was near the goal line then they brought in Troy Brown.
