Yes. They are hot and will trample State

a big game. BC is a more balanced team with slightly better horses in the trenches - unless Ernie Sims goes ballistic (again) BC should eek out a close victory

Miami Vs. Clemson- will Miami start with two losses

I don't think so. They have to rebound, and Clemson has been playing a bit over their heads. Could be a blowout

Tennsessee Vs. Florida- show down in SEC early

Tennessee has better horses but that QB controversy could be pesky. This is the game i am least sure about but i'm looking at Leak and the home field advantage to squeeze out a close win

Good analysis Bit- I agree that Tennesee vs. Florida is going to be a tight game with Florida the slight edge being home

My feelings on BC are known here but I really think they have the better team

Notre Dame I am rooting for also as a fan - Michigan St. has the offense to give them trouble

I LOVE what Urban Meyer is doing with Chris Leak at Florida. That guy can coach. On the flip side, Majors f*cks up an elite high school QB's head quicker than you can say "Peyton can't beat Florida."

As for BC, I like them because of the whole Irish Catholic thing, and I'm such a good Catholic boy. Brian Toal rules!

Notre Damn over Michigan State big.

And it's almost sad to watch Miami these days. Just awful that they can't get a QB who can play. Maybe they need to review how that offense is taught, because BOTH Brock Berlin and Kyle Wright can't suck as much as they have.

A'm I missing something, or is Bitonti's response to faba non-exitent #-o

Never mind, I see them....maybe you should "blog them", for tonight, I could use the assist :P:mrgreen:

Brian Toal is now playing fullback too for the Eagles (2 TD's last week)...I hope they hand FSU a huge loss....With a new supply of cheap VHS' from Wal-mart, I'll try to tape that game....

I still can't believe Ainge got beat out by Clausen....

I look forward to seeing ND/MSU game....

Oregon State/Louisville and Georgia Tech and Uconn (my school) are also games I want to see....

How about USC and Arkansas? No QB for the Razor Backs, but would love to checkout RB Peyton Hillis--the new Matt Jones?

TS, it was Syracuse day (sort of today) for our draft notes--give it look

WOOHOO!! Stevie Gregory getting some love! Awesome! He looks like he added about 10 lbs. this off-season, but he got dinged two weeks ago against West Virginia. Knee thing. He should be OK though. I love me some Steve Gregory.

I can't wait to see if James Wyche can do anything against D'Brickashaw Ferguson on Saturday. It will be reminiscent of when Dwight Freeney faced the U's Bryant McKinney and got stonewalled all day. That game probably pushed Freeney down most draft boards before Dungy snapped him up. Now Freeney is out there running around and over the likes of Jonathan Ogden. Wyche is nowhere near as qucik off the ball as Freeney (who is?) but he's alot more powerful. He came in this year looking like an absolute beast--ripped arms, huge neck. And he claims he's running high 4.4's. Wyche reminds me alot of Simeon Rice now with the added size. Still, he'll need to be coached up in the pro's because he's still relying on his athleticism to get around people. But the tools are there.

Awesome job, as always Rigs and Bit, with DraftDaddy. I can't help promote that site enough.

Louisville on the road is an interesting game R44- they were not that impressive opening against what should be a weak Kentucky team

UCONN had easy game against Buffalo -Rutgers gets that this week

Georgia Tech is a better test to see the QB loss especially

faba, Liberty and Buffalo where 2 lighweights, now UC really gets tested...I'm hoping to catch that game tommorow...I agree with Louisville...Can they stop little Mike Hass of the Beavers? So far, no one has come close---leading receiver in major college ball...

TS, thanks....You know, I did a spotlight on Gregory, and searched up and down and everyhere for his speed...Found he told a student paper he runs a 4.2 40...Not bad for a white-kid from Staten Island, who you've been high on for while--you get a ton of credit there....I also found Gregory is one of the top "gunners" in college football....

He's probably either going get to play nickleback or free safety in the NFL....Sort of reminds me of Kevin Kaesviharn of the Bengals (former CB, starting safety now) and that's not a bad thing, IMHO.

Yea, Wyche is getting a lot attention--I moved him to the 5th DE in the senior class and he has room to rise...If I tape their game,I will focus closely on him and Brick....LaCasse is also getting some props (Day 2) -- he's a track athlete that bulked up to play DE in college, similar to Wyche.

BTY, I love the Orange's retro uniform's, too bad their QB's a retro too (Paul P. era), so they can't really contend

Damian Rhodes is also worthy of watching real close, as is Anthony Smith.

The MSU v Notre Dame game will be closer than alot of people think. MSU owns Notre Dame in the Golden Dome. Has for years.

Besides that, Notre Dame is vastly overrated. If not for two Chad Henne turnovers, Michigan woulda won 24-17. But, Henne has Peyton Manning complex when he plays Notre Dame, it seems. He sees orange and blue.

Yeah, I hope Greg Robinson uses Gregory and Wyche correctly, and so far he seems to be doing fine. I couldn't believe when they made Steve a WR. Made absolutely no sense whatsoever. But that was Pasqualoni for you. I would have LOVED to have seen what Greg Paulus could have done on this SU team. He would have absolutely OWNED upstate NY if he signed with the Orange, and they would have let him play both sports (hoops, f-ball). He thinks he's the next Jason Kidd, though. He's definitely not. He won't sniff the NBA and I guarantee by the time he's a sophomore and realizes that, he'll be knocking on Coach K's door begging to transfer, Drew Henson Part II.

Rhodes is another guy who hit the weights. His problem is that he is an incredibly undisciplined, impatient runner. Poor field vision to the extreme. But, he's impressing people by sticking his head into the middle of the line this year to grind out tough yards, something he was reluctant to do in the past.

Just a stupid move sending Steve to WR....I guess PP claimed he was a better WR in high school than a CB, but he was so good at CB for the 'Cuse it made no sense to switch him so deep into his career (BC is doing the same with Will Blackmon this season).

I saw Paulus in the Army All-Star game... I don't follow college hoops, but he's small--I can see him being, as you alluded too, the typical Duke white point guard, who's b-ball career ends at Duke (no NBA shot)--Steve Wojikowski (sp?) Quinn Snyder, ect.....

Although, Paulus thinks he's a young Stockton

He'd be kind of short for a QB too, but seemed to be dynamic--a taller Drew Tate?

***********

Shadow that should be a great tommorow with Weiss taking on MSU....NBC finally has something worthwhile with the ND package.

Gators?

When did you have surgery to remove that blue and maize d!ck from your mouth?

I've always liked Florida from back in the day with Spurrier.

Let's run down teams that I've liked and why:

Florida - Spurrier / Leak

Texas - Simms

Michigan - Navarre / Hobson / Jackson / Braylon / Perry

South Carolina - Spurrier

Georgia - Pollack / Greene (I know both of them)

Notre Dame - Arnaz Battle

Penn State - Cousin went there / LaVar Arrington / Courtney Brown

Virginia Tech - Cousin went there / Michael Vick

So yeah, living in the NJ / NY area if you have a team that's great, I just personally can't stick to a team that's not around from my area. Until we get a team worthy of calling themsevles a Division 1 football program (which will never happen) you just gotta watch and love College Football. I'm not really a fan of any particular team in College Football because.. A- no real team here and B- there are just so many teams to chose from and none of them from here...I grew up not even knowing Rutgers was the state college of NJ that's how pathetic they were, and so was Syracuse. Just how sh*t works out. I love College Football, but I don't have a "favorite team" just a lot of favorite coaches and players.....Although I hate Miami Fl. , Florida State, Ohio State, Oklahoma and USC.

But hey, if I have to pick a favorite team, it would be the Maize and Blue, followed by the Gators.

So... you're a bandwagon fan?

Not at all.

I was raised a Jets, Yankees, Knicks, Rangers fan but I'm the only one in my family that likes College Sports....so I basically just watch it and root for players and coaches that I like, not really the team.

Thats kinda how I root for college football. I just watch the games to see some good future talent out there. The only reason I watch miami hurricane games here and there is because they're team has more talent than anybody elses. More future NFL players come out of miami then just about anywhere else.
