Thor99
I'm so ****ing sick of people talking about the Home runs. Tex's HR & Matsui's HR were CRUSHED to 2nd deck. They would've been home runs anywhere. Just shut it about the ****ing home runs already. No one complains when home runs are hit @ Fenway, and Citizens Bank park, but every home run hit at Yankee stadium is an issue. Just stfu about it already, Johnny Damon is on pace to hit 35+ Home runs. Absolutely ridiculous. Stop crying about people talking about it, it is an issue. Yeah, but it's really beating the dead horse. Everyone in this country knows that this stadium has a HR problem. The other teams have the same advantage we do. So enough. Thor99
Laughable coming from a Redsox fan. Green Monster is a ****ing joke. It takes away as many home runs as it gives up. There are many line drives that in any other park, would be home runs. In Fenway, they end up singles. Any pop fly to right in YS ends up in the seats. Not really comparable. MagicBizkit87
Andy Pettitte should have retired, and Mussina should have stayed. It's not that hard to realize you're done, Andy. Games probably over now, because the Yankees don't hit pieces of **** pitchers.
Thor99
Why can't the Yankee pitchers throw strikes? Joba had 100 pitches in 4 innings yesterday, and Andy has 50 and he's not even through 2 innings yet.

Have you even read the real reason why there are so many homeruns@ yankee stadium or are you just flapping your gums like a prototypical Redsox fan? The Old stadium, which is 50 meters from the new one is causing a funnel of wind. it should subside when the old Stadium gets demolished, until then homeruns legitimate or not will be hit. MagicBizkit87
1 damn hit off this piece of minor league crap, and Pettitte has allowed 6 hits to a depleted lineup.
Vudu
Outside of CC sabathia, I dont trust any of our starters. Joe Girardi is gonna wait until Pettite gives up 8758923462348 runs before he takes him out
Vudu
Yes Joe, just leave Pettite in there so the METS can continue hitting him and scoring. ****ing moron.

MagicBizkit87
Apparently nobody on this team wants today's game or tomorrows game, because if they're not hitting this scrub that the Mets put out there today, they're definitely not going to hit Johan Santana tomorrow. GimmeShelter
This pitching staff sucks. They should be fine SP wise though Pettite is getting up there in years. It's critical Wang returns to form though as Joba and Hughes have yet to take the next step. CC is a given and hopefully Burnett does not go back to non contract year form. The walls and dimensions are different from the old stadium. Hence the accelerated pace of home runs. There is one problem with this pitching staff: Jorge Posada. That is pretty much the the best thing you can say to anyone. "Who is that guy pitching in double A"? LOL. Good thing is the team looks resilient, sad thing is they should be going for the sweep with Johan on the mound tomorrow, with their B team no less. RutgersJetFan
Big win today, especially after a loss like last night's. Good defensive play and a great day on the mound which just came out of nowhere. We absolutely need a big day from Johan tomorrow, taking this series would be just a huge boost through this rough patch.

RutgersJetFan
Have to disagree on Castillo. The guy had a good April, but that's it. His numbers for May and June have been pretty bad, he's hitting around .230 since April ended.
MagicBizkit87
Yankees basically blew this series now, they couldn't hit that bum that the Mets threw out their today, they're definitely not going to hit Johan tomorrow. Mind as well, just give the Mets the win, and not even bother playing tomorrow, because A.J. Burnett, like I said, is turning into clones of Vazquez, Johnson, Weaver, Pavano, and so on... Yeah, he's right, you know your stadium is a joke when you have Gary Sheffield hit home runs 2 days in a row, and have some bum catcher who shouldn't even be in the majors hit a home run as well.
