Offense:

- I feel a teedy weedy better after that last long scoring drive by the offense and I can only hope that we build off that going into next week, because Ill admit before that drive I was really wondering if we should bench Chad. Not because he is not a good QB, but he just looked phyiscally unable to perform out there. When you cant reach a wide open receiver on a 15 yard comeback route then maybe you shouldnt be out there. And Chad's play was effecting Dingers offense as he was running on every 2nd an dlong, anybody who was watched the Titans offense under Dinger knows he NEVER DOES THAT. If your O-Coordinator doesnt have any confidence in the QB to the point where his running on 2nd and longs maybe Chad needs to sit until he is healthy? Again, I know Chad is not 100% but there is a difference between not being 100% and being ineffective, and for the most part Chad was ineffective today. Our D is not going to give up 7 points every week.... I just hope that last drive was an indication of things to come because things were just not pretty before that.

- It's good to see Derrick Blaylock get LaMont JOrdan'd for the 2nd week in a row. How many carries did he get today? 2? 3? Awesome, you know the one thing blaylock ahs over Martin is the home run threat so when your offense is strugglign maybe you would want to give him a few carries in hope that we get lucky and he breaks a long one. But naw, Herm rather give Martin 30 carries and pad his stats. Completely pathetic. We should have never have signe Blaylock if this is how we are going to utilize him, CedriC Houston or BJ Askew can man this gig with no problem.

- Nice bounce back effort by the OLINE. A big improvemtn over last week. I thought A Jones played well, got beat inside on that one sack against a competent veteran in carter, but we'll have to live with those from time to time.

- I love Lav Coles, he is just a gamer. I needed to mention that.

Defense:

- Say what you want about the guy, but few can get after the pasher like Abraham, after STRAHAN there is nobody else Id want rushing the passwer(if he can stay healthy of course). He was getting pressure today when we were only sending 3 down linemen. Only if he can stay healthy.

- David Barrett is the strangest CB I have ever seen. He is terrible against the speedy CB's but eats up the big pysical guys like booker, burress, etc. Nice bounce back effort by Barrett.

- Do Patriot fans still think Ty Law is washed up? I think teh Pats could use him right about now. He looks very good out there.

Special Teams:

- Tremendous job by Ben Graham.

- Some of Nugent's kick offs absolutely sucked today.

Miscellaneous

- James Reed most have a good punch, Vilma had a pretty nasty blood shot eye.

- Does Nick Saban ever unfold his arms? What is up with that?

JetMo if they were I missed it myself.

57 real solid post. And you pegged Barret! He had a real good game today. But what impresses me most is Ty Law. He reads the QB so well and gets such a good break on the ball. Honestly we haven't seen anything like it around here in a LONG time. He has been real impressive.

And Abraham really makes a huge difference for this team. The D didn't get the pressure they need to but Abe really makes things happen. Man I hope he stays healthy this year!

Were Bryan Thomas and John Abraham on the field at the same time, at all during this game? I thought I seen both of their numbers, once.

There were a few downs last week and again today when the front 4 was Ellis/D-Rob/BT/Abe. They should do more of it. It's been solid on passing downs, it's the 4 best DL guys and even if Thomas is undersized as a DT he's good vs. the run.

A win's a win. Solid d effort. And the offense did what had to be done late.

Very good post. Chad is still working out the kinks. Fortunately he's still good enough for us to win. He is going to need to get better no doubt about that. And Blaylock should get the ball more. Ty Law is the man. I think the ball may have been thrown to his side at most 8 times in the first 2 games. I don't know what was up with Nugent's KO's. Kicking it to the 20 is unacceptable. It's also weird because you know he has a stronger leg than that. But it was good to see him make that 41-yard FG. He needed a kick like that just to get it under his belt and forget that kick against KC. I was pissed when Dinger chose to run the ball like 3 times on 2nd and 18, and managed to get just about nothing on any try. That was just plain stupid.

And oh yeah, you managed to spell passer wrong twice in the same sentence.

I was disappointed in the Jets this week. I expected them to blow out the Phish after last weeks debacle. The Phish were still in this game in the 4Q, and if not for all their stupid penalties, they may have been in front. The running game still looks below average and many of Chad's passes looked like floaters.
