Pennington gets bad press

The article itself is well written, but in reality Edwards is right when he says the QB's job is to win football games. The drive that he completed after the fins scored was dynamite. O'connor seems to only talk about the 3rd and 12 pass to Macarriens while leaving out the pass to chrebet and also to laverneus. In no way shape or form did he dominate, but I think that the fins D is pretty underrated as well. Pennington needs improvement 10 fold but that drive is something we as fans can't ignore, it was beyond clutch, and looked effortless. I thought the game was lost for the jets after the fins scored, I figured Chad would piss away the enxt posession, and he proved me wrong, bottom line. That is what every fan wants out of his qb a top tier performance at the point in the game when it matters the most. I hope to see much more of this agaisnt Jax.

The Jets very Lucky to be able to pull this game out. =D>

Luck had nothing to do with it. It was one solid 7/7? drive by the qb. And our defense and special teams completely shutting down the fins chances of ending up in the end zone. Whoever the Welcker guy is on Miami, he had one good return but other than that, looked like a crack head running around looking for a fix. The Jets got one arm on this guy and he'd go flying. Hit the weight room buddy, get some leg strength, build a god damn base.

I've been as negative as anyone. But this sniveling column is bile.

Did he write anything about the awful days Daunte Culpepper, Brett Favre and Tom Brady had yesterday, or that Jeter for the 8th time this season made the final out with the tying run on base? Yes, I'd trade Penny in a heartbeat for Culpepper or Brady. A win's a win, and any of those guys would've taken one yesterday, stats and snooty columnists be damned.

There's no style points; the Jets aren't giving back the win. And that guy at QB, as limited as he may be, who drove that 7 for 7 team for the clincher, is the same guy who picked this team out of a puddle in 2002 and got them past Manning in a playoff game when Edwards was looking at getting fired and Bradway was looking a the top pick in the 2003 draft.

Want to be scared about something-Martin looks slow and old, which doesn't get better even when the OL gets it's act together. Unless this teams gets a running game that defenses have to respect, passing is only going to get harder.
