NJWARRIOR
In the span of 71 seconds Moss showed why he is a serious deep threat and why the Skins made what seemed an unconscionable trade(not to mention Coles would have continued to wet his bed until he got his way). Is bye week enough to provide the old fella the extra time needed to get the timing down with the speedy receiver? The Skins looked awful and missed on more than a few deep shots before the last 4 minutes. I'm one guy hoping they get it down....and one guy thanking you for bringing HM back into your fold. Good luck with that.
Maxman
Sideline Santana does amazing things with those Alligator Arms of his. You better hope he keeps out running people. Because he doesn't much like to wander around the middle of the field! Coles is the better player.
faba
One game Moss did well for the Redskins- give him credit- lets just watch how the season progresses- I think I will take Cole to tough it out more than Moss
NJWARRIOR
You'd stay out of the middle too if you were 5'1" and 125lbs with sand in your shoes....but that's ok, didn't grab him for crossing routes. Coles is a malcontent. He'll run his hooks and at end of year will be looking for some grass on the otehr side of the fence....again.

Is Santana still running backwards on returns and running out of bounds when a defender gets close enough to breathe on him? Santana's great on long routes. That much is obvious. Not a great fit for our QB though. Coles is a better fit with Penny, and is a lot tougher than Moss.

And I saw in a span of 56 minutes why Moss is a one dimensional receiver where if you take away his deep ball he cant make an impact in any other way in the passing game. Moss will be a non factor as soon teams stop him from going deep after they realize thats all he can do because he is too chicken #@!% to go over the middle and make a play in traffic.. He is only 5'9, he cant out jump receivers, so limiting his deep ball shouldnt be so hard. Defenses are going to start to over and under him in coverage and Moss will be useless, because all he'll be able to do then is catch those pretty 7 yard hook routes and run for his life out of bounds. THe routine we saw all too many times as a Jet. Then we'll revisit this ridiculous MOss is better than Coles talk.
stormshadow19
Santana is awesome... for three games a year. And the Jets already have a part time player on their team, no need for two.

NJWARRIOR
because all he'll be able to do then is catch those pretty 7 yard hook routes and run for his life out of bounds. We all know why he needed to run those. It's Penny's range. We'll take over and under coverage if they think he's a deep threat. That is what Skins have been saying they want (and needing), which is stretch it out. If he is feared deep and D's are compelled to move two defenders out, then it opens up CP for some scampers. Coles can take a hit though. Give him props for that...but stay off his toes.
BlackLabelJetsFan
Coles can take a hit though. Give him props for that...but stay off his toes. You're grasping. Turf Toe or not, Coles is playing fine. He's just had some of the dropsies, esp. in game 1. That's not toe-related.

Very true. Actually I loved having Coles, but wanted to stir something up. He has a lot of heart, which may have actually hurt him by not sitting some to get healthy. He was awesome before injury. YPC was high, then injury hit and he went south fast. He got punished over the middle and still ran routes. he does cause a lot of trouble wherever he goes at one point or another but he's got skilz. If Moss can stay healthy and Brunell is answer, which I am not sure he is...he may have a big year.

joewilly
that depends on our q-back........... we jetfans are a pretty good authority on judging the 2. coles is the better player. ask the other 30 teams who they'd rather have & chances are they all pick coles

LOL Fat chance. Santana Moss is S O F T. Dont look to him when its 3rd down, he's not clutch. Dont get fooled over this past weeks performance. He is not a #1 WR, barely a #2. NJWARRIOR
I can see your point as having had both for extended periods of time. Since you have a QB with suspect arm-strength, or health or both, Coles is a good fit, but a healthy Moss can be the difference maker in DC. I have limited viewings, but if they can get timing down and he can keep his legs...which he hasn't been able to do...he'll have more NFC Player of the Week awards. Can't do it every week, but he puts a couple games in there this year and D's will need to account and that can only help stretch

NJ
At some point, there will be a Jet QB that can hit our recieving corps. Initials might be CP - but maybe not. The game films tell the story and we won't go forever with wideouts open for big yards or 6 and nobody to get the ball to them.

Kentucky Jet
It was a great trade for both teams and players. COLES suits CHAD more because of his lack of a big arm. Moss and BRUNELL are made for each other. Big arm; great speed! Chad will benefit from COLES toughness over the middle!
