Smizzy
I know we all feel bad for Chad Pennington. He sacrificed himself for the team. Don't shed any tears over it. He will be paid like a king for his short time here. Plus..He will have a life after football without a limp or arthirits. Plus we all know he was a SUB PAR QB. Yea,Yea,Yea...I know...Im a ****er. Look on the bright side folks...another QB besides Chad will be our QB of the future. The once written future is no more. Anything can happen. Im very, very excited to see how this team handles adversity this yr and what they will do @ Qb for the future. The future is blank slate. Thanks for everything Chad. You were a warrior but.. The Chad Pennington Era is over. Next.

Smizzy
Don't be shocked. The quicker we move on the better. Chad Pennington is no more. Sucks for us and him but Dems the facts jack. The simple fact was he could barley stay healthy and when he did he wasn't good enough to take down a decent D to begin with. Let's pray to god the next QB can. Barton
I feel for Chad regardless of how much money he has made or will pocket. Because I am 100% sure he would trade it all in if he could get his shoulder 100% and eliminate the risk of injury. The man forever has my respect. A leader. I will miss him alot. I really will. You can look at it the way you are Smizz, but we dont even know who our QB of the future will be! I pray it will be Philip Rivers in a trade where we dont get raped, but we could be stuck with Bollinger for a few years, nobody knows. This is not a good situation. Lady Jet
Give Bollinger a shot. If it doesn't work out, pray for a big free agent pickup, or perhaps the draft.

I'm having trouble seeing the bright side. I have a sneaking suspicion that Fiedler separated his shoulder at the very least and we wont see him for 6-8 weeks (haven't heard a thing, but seeing his actions on the field after the injury, something needs to be repaired). With him I wouldn't feel so bad, but in the long run Bollinger is not going to get it done, especially with an anemic running attack. We are dealing from a position of weakness and will get raped in any worthwhile QB trade. If Rivers is any good SD will not trade hime, they will dump Brees and I'm not sure he is the long term answer either. Unless we get very lucky, we will be swimming upstream in the QB department for the foreseeable future (and I am usually the eternal optimist)
TomShane
I have to agree, Smizz. I'll be more excited about the new coach.
NJ
I cant say enough good things about the guy from all aspects except.... throwing the football (and this year catching it sometimes). After 2002 - he has had nothing but inconsistancy in executing a strong passing attack. Not stats - points on the board. This year was a horrible bottom for his time in Jet green. I feel real bad for him as he's a 5-star, stand-up, gamer type of guy. Also as savy as they come. Now it's time to move forward. Honestly, I'm excited to see what our passing offense can do. We are geared for it if we can get a guy to throw to it.
