PETROCK
Easily top 3. I don't know. There are too many Jets disasters to sort through. You've got the signing of Kotite, you've got Parcells quitting, you've got Belichek quitting; those are 3 right there that are in recent memory. The Gun Of Bavaria
The sheer odds of losing both your #1 and #2 QBs in one drive is astounding. It couldn't be done again if someone tried. Easily top 5.

BwanaZulia
I am going to give it the top spot. Having Vinny T go down in the first game was nothing like losing 2 in your third game. BZ
afosomf
you all forget JWN getting hurt in Lions Game in exhibition game, that is my #1 2) Hiring Kotite 3) Hiring Herm
Green DNA
This is big, but until the season plays out we won't know just how big. It is a candidate for the top spot but as of now: Kotite = 1 Testaverde injury = 2 Hopefully this won't even make the top
Bugg
The sheer odds of losing both your #1 and #2 QBs in one drive is astounding. It couldn't be done again if someone tried. Easily top 5. Has it ever happened before that a team's top 2 QBs were knocked out for the season in one game? There have beeng games where the top 2 were injured. But unless someone can think of it, it's unprecedented to have 2 QBs suffer season-ending injuries in the same game.

Bob
I am going to give it the top spot. Having Vinny T go down in the first game was nothing like losing 2 in your third game. BZ I disagree. We had a legitimate shot at the Super Bowl that year. All we missed this year was a first or second-round playoff exit, at best.
James Hasty
No clue. I have lost count of all the time the Jets had the football snatched away at the last minute. We are the Charlie Brown of the NFL.

vinnys025
Vinny went down against the Patriots that year, not the niners. Oh...i was actually in basic training trying to watch it through the snow. Our Drill Instructor wasent around and my clever a$$ decided to get a coat hanger for my bdu's and stick it in the back of the tv and plug it in. Good stuff, we could actually see something at times. ...NOW THATS A TRUE JET FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nothings going to stop me from watching my Jets...lol
Blackout
99 season would rank #1, we ALL had our sights set on the superbowl with Parcells and Belichunks at the helm even without Vinny didnt we go 8-8? imagine if we had our starting QB that year

I'd have to go with Bob and others on this one - Vinny going down was the worst, as we had legit SB aspirations. This is #2, but that year you could just about taste that Lombardi Trophy.
