Redskins shot down Jets Offer for Ramsey

I was watching NFL Live at 4pm today and they said that the Jets offer for Patrick Ramsey got turned down by the redskins.

Bradway on the fan with Mike and The Mad Dog said he has looked around to make trades, but teams were asking for wayyy too much (not surprising).

If the Jets would have traded for Ramsey, would he just have been a stopgap for this season? Makes you wonder just how confident the Jets are in Pennington ever returning to play football again.

This year will be just a waste. Bradway will have his hands full big time in the offseason to improve the Oline and find a real starting Quarterback. Mike and the Mad Dog said it would take 2 #1's for the Chargers to trade Rivers (whether he was talking about right now, or in the offseason IDK). But if Rivers forces the Chargers hand in the offseason by going to the press and demanding a trade you would have to think their leverage would go out the window just alittle, making Rivers perhaps easier to acquire via trade. I hope that Brees has another oustanding season, if not, I cant see the Chargers trading Rivers. I think Brees will continue to be a very good QB. In the end, I am certain Rivers will be traded. Hopefully to the Jets.

multiple #1's or a #1 and extras will be the price for any "decent" backup QB - why? because those teams know we are desperate. There are no nice guys in the NFL.

As for the future I don't know what the answer is but i do know that it's too soon to speculate. Alot can happen in 13 games and even if it's all bad we will have all sorts of time to consider the options after the season ends.

there are only 13 football weekends left guarunteed I am not going to waste them considering who will be the starting QB in 2006, 2007 and beyond.

Amen. We would get screwed trading for a QB now.

Ramsey isn't the answer either.
