TomShane
http://www.jetnation.com/?p=203 Nick does a great job wrapping up the events of each week. The "Stat of the game" stuff is always interesting. Nick lives in Colorado and is able to provide a national perspective to alot of games that get missed by us New York yokels. Also, his Top-5 teams is always controversial. If it were me, I'd rank them this way: 1) Pats- Champs until proven otherwise. And nobody is able to prove otherwise. The hiccup against the Panthers again proves to be an anamoly. 2) Eagles- McNabb has joined the elite QB's in the league. I never thought he'd get it together as a pocket passer, but he has made incredible jumps each year. Remember when people were saying that Herm was better than or equal to Andy Reid? 3) Colts- Freeney is the best player in football. No question. He absolutely dominated Jon Ogden two weeks ago. Who does that? Of course, since I drafted him on my fantasy team, Peyton Manning has turned into Phil Simms. 4) Bengals- All that defense, and a developing (and yet still powerful) offense combine to make the Bengals a real threat. I wonder what it feels like to have young skill position players that actually develop? 5) Steelers- The only team in the AFC that can go toe to toe with the Steelers. Unfortunately, the Cowher factor brings them down in tight games.

TomShane
Tom, your top Five makes far more sense than this Nick person's.......must be the altitude Please explain #5 again? #5 is Mu-shu pork. As far as explaining it, I believe it's chopped pork flank in a tangy orange sauce with green beans, sno-peas, and rice.
Garb
5) Steelers- The only team in the AFC that can go toe to toe with the Steelers. Unfortunately, the Cowher factor brings them down in tight games Oh - I saw the Steelers described as the only team that can go toe to toe with themselves, so I figured that while writing the post, you got distracted by the memories of your self love romp last nite - you, your member and your toe - you contortionist you! faba
The Pats are the champs -they still have to be number 1 - regardless of their loss to Panthers Colts as number two with impressive defense so far Eagles even with their loss as number three
