Boozer76
Did you notice Dinger's look when he went over to Herm. I just wonder if he actually said what he was thinking out loud? Herm-"Wha' do I do, Wha' do I do?? Where's Dick? Dick where you at?? Sheet I can't find Dick? Let's see now if the grill is on fire, the the penalty we must aquire....I mean no no no.....If the recipe call for wine, the penalty we must......... Dinger-Interrupts "Hey a$$hole, decline the farging penalty you stupid sh*t!!!!" (mumbles to self-No wonder why Terry refused to introduce me to this guy before I signed the contract. What a dumbass!!!)

Garb
Know what would be smart? Fire Herm, promote the Jets OC or DC to HC immediately. Honest to God.
RSJ
Know what would be smart? Fire Herm, promote the Jets OC or DC to HC immediately. Honest to God. I agree 100%. This may call for a mid season change. Lets see what one of these guys has as a HC.
joewilly
boozer, the jets gained 7 or 8 yds on the play & a penalty was called. the option for jets was do you take 2nd down & 2 or 3 by declining the penalty or do you take a 5 yd penalty which comes with an automatic 1st down taking the penalty meant going backwards with the ball about 3 yds but auto 1st down. herm dblechecked with dinger on the call, automatically making him the worst headcoach ever to put on a headset. joewilly
by the way booser, they accepted the penalty, they didn't decline it. when bashing the coach, well you know the rest don'tcha booz I agree herm looked confused, but better to be safe than sorry. mudcat21
herm dblechecked with dinger on the call, automatically making him the worst headcoach ever to put on a headset. I thought it was a 1st down either way because they gained 10 yards. ( I don't rmember the specifics). But Hermie didn't double check. He was confused and Dinger came over, ripped off his headset, and told the ref what the Jets wanted to do.

I said 7 or 8 but it was 8yds I think. It still wasn't a tough call cause you gotta take the auto 1st down with only 3 yds being the difference of the ball spot. yes it looked like herm was caught off guard there momentarily though
joewilly
mudcat, regarding dingers entry on to the scene, it could be argued that herm explained it to dinger cause right at that moment dinger asked what was goin on as he was walking up to see what the ref said. I agree tx, dinger has shown me NOTHING, NADDA,ZIP thus far. herm needs to be blamed as well but how is it herm gets no credit for D but gets all the crap for O I wanna see donnie at dc only & dinger at oc only. I'm not even sure if dingers the guy cause mcnairball won't work here.Bring in charlie weiss to hc & joewillys a happy guy. I am sooooo impressed by that guy. Your wrong on a few points. 1) It was an 8 yard gain, or 5 yd penalty AND first down. 2) There was nothing wrong with Herm asking Dinger. Some coordinators would have taken the 8, figuring they can get 2. Most wouldn't.

PatsFanTX
Tx - it's awfully hard to make lasagna with pork rinds, sardines and crisco. Garb, I know he is in a tough position with the players he has to work with. However, his offensive games plans and strategy have sucked. Why not throw the ball more on 1st and 2nd down, especially with Bollinger. The last thing you want is your 3rd string QB looking at 3rd and long all day. Dumb misake on Dingers part. His fascination with CuMar is laughable. He is over used and over exposed. Teams know what's coming at them. I just thought I would see a lot more different and unpredictable things from Dinger. Through 4 games, it's as if Hackett never left.

joewilly
tx, I can't ask my fellow jetfans so i'll ask you. who do you blame for this pisspoor gameplanning & playcalling? herm or dinger is it poor execution? we don't know cause there was nothing to execute. I guess you guys giving up 41 pts is 2 parts execution 1 part hc & 1 part dc? iknow,i know your head coach can do no wrong :?

I guess you guys giving up 41 pts is 2 parts execution 1 part hc & 1 part dc? iknow,i know your head coach can do no wrong :? Willy, Hermy has a say in the gameplan but Dinger is calling the plays. My initial gut reaction is that Hermy is telling Dinger early in the week "we need to be consevative and not turn the ball over". If that is true, Dinger has his hands tied on the type of plays he calls. I'll tell you one thing that is quite obvious, the Jets offensive gameplans have looked nothing like the Titan gameplans of last year. I just don't think Dinger is conservative by nature (he took a ton of chances and gambles with the Titans). With that said, I gotta believe Hermy is sticking his nose into Dinger's business early in the week. I don't even want to discuss the Pats defense. It made me sick on Sunday. That defense will be a huge problem the rest of the year.

I have never seen the Pats DB's play as poorly as they did on Sunday since BB has been the HC. They were no where around the receivers at all. Did you see in the 2nd half when they double-teamed Gates and he was open by 5 friggn' yards? Or how about LT running right over Biesel for a TD? You are right afo, that defense was very, very soft.
