My final thoughts on the -ahem- QB controversy

OK, here's the deal. If the Jets are 4-4 by the second week of November (when Fiedler is expected to return), then I will eat a head cheese and olive loaf on pumpernickel sandwich, smeared with gobs of mayo, and chase it down with a glass of buttermilk, in the parking lot at the Patriots game in December.

Also, I will not make another disparaging remark about Herm, ever again.

But if Vinny comes in and does nothing that Bollinger couldn't have done, Herm's @ss is grass, and I'm the lawn mower.

This team just gave Vinny $750 thousand dollars. If he can't win 3 out of 4 games then this move made zero sense, and both Bradway and Herm should be fired at season's end.

I'VE HAD IT!

The vet minimum of $750K is chump change even if it was a mistake.

Now a $64 million dollar mistake is a whole different story.

It's more than what Bollinger is making, and I know Bollinger can win at least 1 out of 4 games. So Vinny better do better than that.

THAT SOB BETTER DO A HELLUVA LOT BETTER THAN THAT!

There was nothing I saw in the Bucs game that looked like Bollinger could win anything. That is no diamond in the rough.

I think Vinny can win 3 of 4 games (I BELIEVE)

The question is if Vinny comes out there, wins a few games we get to 4-4 or God forbid, 5-4 , and Jay is ready to go, do you put him in? Do you take out the QB who is winning you games and go with your OTHER backup?

Tough one.

Personally, if Vinny is winning games, I say you get Jay ready on the sidelines, he is going to be needed at some point.

thank you karnac......... where does this amazing insight come from anyway

I don't think I'm going out on a limb here, but there certainly seems to be a lot of Bolly fans here that must have seen something that I apparently missed. The Jets have a better chance of winning a game with me at QB and I'm older than Vinny.

They ought to be fired anyway! Why throw BROOKS under the bus? Typical Duh Herm! It plain sucks!

I have had it too! BROOKS was set up for failure and so is VINNY. The Ol is too small and weak! The run game has fallen apart. The wrs dropped 4 passes on the kid or he would have had 8 out of 16! If he dropped 6 ball son the ground or threw 2 ints, what would his critics say?

If Vinny goes 2-1, in the next 3 games, I will refrain from Herm bashing.

HOWEVER

It will beg the question:

Why was Vinny replaced by Chad in the first place?

Oh brother........ Here we go.

Just 2 years ago, the main point was "Chad saved Herm's job" and "It was a no-brainer for Herm to go to Chad"

Now we come back to this. It really does go full circle

I think Vinny gives the Team real hope..Keep in mind it's not like Vinny has gone to a team that he never played for before! Most of the Offense has played with him before and Vinny was a well liked and respected player!I think some liked him better then Chad..There's no pressure on Vinny this time around and he knows every game he plays is just gravy added to the end of his Career..He said he wouldn't have considered comimg back for any other Team and called the Jets to offer his help because he feels that close to the Team and players not to mention he's a long time Jet Fan!! I support the Vin-ster 100% and will be cheering for him to play lights out ball as long as he's the Jet QB!! Go Vinny Go Jets!!
