The Troll
I thought Fonoti was getting good? Of all the blockbusters today, this is one I'm most surprised about. Seriously.
mudcat21
I remember during the draft a few years ago I wanted the Jets to draft him.

Barton
With Mawae out...WHy not move Kendall back to C and have Fonoti play G? a 7th rd pick? Jeez. The Jets should have pounced on this deal. Fonoti is what this Oline is missing, a run mauler. He's a good player, I'm surprised he got traded but it said he was going to leave in the offseason. I was just dreaming of an Oline: LT - Jones LG - Fonoti C - Eslinger (in the draft) RG - Moore RT - Marcus McNeil (in the draft) That is 3 stud run blockers there with McNeil, Moore and Fonoti and a good smart center in Eslinger, and an athletic young promising left tackle in Adrian Jones. We could go from old to young in a matter of 1 offseason.
The Troll
Another case of the Jets missing the boat. We'll give up first rounders for has-been never-was tight ends, but we won't give up a sixth rounder for a young road-grading gaurd that could start for us for ten years. The Troll
He will be a free agent in the offseason, troll. So, you think the 1-4 Vikings traded for Fonoti so they can keep him for 10 weeks to lead their inevitable Super Bowl run? If the Vikings weren't planning to lock him up long term, they wouldn't have made this trade.

If that was supposed to be a shot at Bradway, it wasnt a very good one. 2nd day stud picks under Bradway Coleman, Rhodes, and Adrian Jones are all starters. And if they'd give Cedric a chance to shine, he'd be starting too. FREE STEVE MORLEY!!!

Hey thanks for making me "dooshey of the day", EB50! You KNOW I care about what a 15-year old who has contributed nothing to society thinks about me, and who thinks I have no football knowledge because I choose to look at the Jets in an objective fashion. If I'm wrong, prove me wrong! Being childish will solve nothing. But what more can we expect from a High School student?

Explain to me why Rhodes and Jones suck? Jones has been very very good at left tackle. And I dont know how you can possibly grade Kerry Rhodes when, he hasnt been beaten deep over the top, and you cant see him on the screen most of the time when you watch the game on tv. I guess Hobson, Coleman, Barrett, Brown, Moore and McCareins all suck too, right? Me being a high school student (and you're not even old enough to drink at a bar so stfu) has nothing to do with football. I know football and how to grade players performances without looking at the stat sheet. Obviously you do NOT based on your pathetic statement that Rhodes and Jones both suck. PS: Let me know when you contribute anything to society. I'll send you a basket of fruit and a pile of dog sh*t to your front door.

This offensive line has been pathetic, and Jones has played a critical role in that. Are you going to tell me this is all Fabini's fault? And Rhodes has gotten burnt just like any other safety, the fact is that he hasn't been given the role of a cover safety. Where he has been ineffective is against the run, which is supposed to be his strength. Did you not see Willis McGahee roll all over this D last week? Rhodes has been an adequate starter, but don't make him OR Jones out to be what they are not: Diamonds in the rough. Overall, Bradway's record in 2nd day selections has been sub-par. By the way, Hobson and McCareins cost us 2nd round picks, not 2nd day picks. Therefore, yes, for what we gave up to get them, they DO suck. Barrett? I haven't watched a game in which he didn't get burnt. Physical corners aren't as effective as they used to be. Coleman is the only "steal" I can think of, then, who has been a steal Bradway made that is still on the roster. All other draft choices have been easy decisions (like Vilma) or reaches (Robertson, Hobson, Askew, Nugent, etc.) The jury is still out on guys like Cedric Houston. Barton
80, you really disappoint me. You should know this. And Oline is only as STRONG as its WEAKEST LINK! Fabini is our weakest link (BY FAR). He has been a disgrace. Look at all the sacks and pressures he has given up! Jones (at left tackle) is on an island all by himself. He has not let anybody get in Vinnys face 99% of the time. I dont know if you have watched the last 2 jets games where Jones is playing left tackle, but he has been VERY GOOD. He's not an octopus. He cant block the whole dline by himself. Jones is doing his job, and doing it very well. Its not his fault that kendall is getting bullrushed into the QB and Fabini is playing matador on the right side. On Kerry Rhodes. I've seen every Jets game, and he has not been burnt deep once. And you sound like you want to dig his grave. He is a rookie and he will make some coverage mistakes (and he has), but he has turned it up and played very well. Just because his name isnt being called often doesnt mean he sucks. Usually that means he's not getting burnt and is covering his man, which is why QBs havent thrown over the top against him.

Hmmmmmm, well, I guess you just gotta say something really stupid. message to jetsfan80. Look, I'm sorry I called you some names, my emotions got the best of me again, I reacted too strongly too fast, so sorry. But I stand by my opinion that Jones and Rhodes are very good picks by Bradway and both have played very well. And if you're going to knock my credibility and knowledge of the game because I am in 11th grade, dont cry about it when I call you names. 80, you're not even old enough to drink at a bar. Stop acting like you're so high and mighty. You're not.

Whether or not Maddox and Jones are good picks, Bradway's overall resume for 2nd day picks is not a good one....or for overall draft picks, for that matter. That was my essential point. And no, I won't stop acting high and mighty. I go to college, work 2 jobs, serve on Student Government and several committees, and volunteer in the community, and I don't have to take sh*t from no one.
