Jetme23
I know arm strength is one of the keys to being a successfull QB in the NFL. My question is, How does someone obtain a strong arm? Do you just lift? Ive herd somewhere that Vinny used to throw until his arm hurt when he was young, and thats how he got a cannon for an arm. Matt39
You're born with it.
Maxman
I think you are born with it like Matt said. Proper mechanics I am sure help. But how else do you explain guys like Mariano Rivera, Ron Guidry throwing so hard at 160 pounds or so in baseball. As far as Chad goes I always hoped he would bulk up in the weight room. Probably wouldn't have helped him arm strength wise but couldn't have hurt him become more durable. Same goes for Jon McGraw.

GimmeShelter
I think Brady improved his arm strength after his first two season so yes it can be done to some degree. Pennington's shoulder first got hurt in training camp 2001 so I don't think the weight room etc was a option for him. For all Vinny's arm strength I will take Chad over him in a minute. Love him or hate him, a healthy Chad has always meant the Jets playing in January. Not the ultimate goal but a fact nonetheless.
