the man who buried Curtis Martin. When it's all said and done Curtis will have nothing left in the tank when all these guys get healthy. His career will be over and we will spend the next 3 years grooming his replacement because nobody got a single carry when curtis played.

Bravo Herm. Bravo!

Martin hasn't had anything left in the tank since the beginning of htis year. I don't think waiting for guys to get healthy is going to make much a difference.

Yea but how long will it take to train a replacement? Nobody has touched the footabll around here in a long time.

good rookie RB's can usually play right away. The only thing they need to work on is blocking. But for the running skills, you either have it or you don't.

Not saying it would.

Im saying Herm ran curtis to death...he is done...right now. By the time they others get back he will be buried in the ground and we will have a giant hole @ RB. with nobody with any experience to replace him.

True. But with the ways things look now. After this year, we're are going to have several HUGE holes to fill like say (OL, QB, RB, etc)

Curtis was done by the end of 2005. He has had nothing at all to offer this season, period.

Bench him now. Play Houston. This is a business, and in business you do what is best for the long term, and that is no longer padding Martin's already lock HOF resume.

If Houston sucks it up, at least we'll know where we stand pre-2006 draft/FA.

we can't seem to keep the ball long enough for a 3 & out these days. pretty tough to wear him out with 20 or so offensive plays per game. our defense is doing a nice job of allowing long, agonising trips down the field to further help keep martin fresh
