Gang Green Girl
Nicely done, Scott. I'm not a big Chrebet fan, but the article was well written and a nice tribute to a player who rightly deserves it. Thank you, Scott.

4HCrew
Great job with this Scott... I was not a big fan of Chrebet either but his perseverance is quite admirable... My best memory was being in Tampa with his catch to win the game.
Bob
Nice job, SD. If you do not write, professionally, you should think about it. Wayne Chrebet is still my favorite Jet.
Cant Hackett
All Jet players should play with as much heart as Wayne did.

Bob-You are too kind. Thanks one and all. After reading nothing but TO garbage this week, it was nice and easy to write about a story like this. Thanks for the opp, Max
Jetheelz
Great job SD. Like you said, reading a story like Wayne's is definately refreshing after hearing nothing but TO stories all week. Wayne is one of my favorite Jets also. I really hate to see him go but everyone knows its for the best, healthwise and his family. Thanks again!! By the way, writing like that could land you a bi-line in the Daily Planet.

nj meadowlands
Wayne Chrebet will forever be my favorite Jet, and my only non-family hero. Thanks for everything Wayne Scott that was a great read...I had chills and tears watching him lie motionless on the field last weekend. I had those flashbacks too... Wayne really was a part of us. faba
Nice article Scott Chrebet is a guy you have to root for You always have to root for the underdog -free agent from Hofstra to make it in the NFL is a great accomplishment.

Preston Howley III
Rich Kotite got at least one thing right. Rock on, Wayne. Too bad about the past 5 seasons.
GreenBeans
Great writing, great read. I hope to Chrebet is able to read this at some point and understand the impact he has had on some fans lives. As much as I'd like to see #80 on the field again, I hope I don't - for his own good. Thanks!

haggis
Awesome. How much fun has it been to watch Chrebet? The best part is that I constantly get fans of other teams: pats, Fins, Raiders, Bengals, Bucs, Niners, you name it come up to me when they see my Chrebet shirt and let me know that they admire and like him not just as a player, but as a person. Too many kids want to grow up to be like T.O. and not like a Wayne Chrebet. It's a damn shame he is done. But his last play was classic Chrebet: great route, clutch catch, and another Jet firstdown when it was needed most.

Seriously, though, someone ought to send it along to Chrebet - I'm sure he'd appreciate it.
