SenorGato
http://www.slashfilm.com/the-raid-star-wars-force-awakens/ Three stars of The Raid movies will be in the new Star Wars movie. It gets better - two of them are the final fight badass bad guys (Mad Dog and the Assassin) and the other plays Rama. How much screen time!?!?!? drdetroit
Wife made me watch The Heat last night. I did not hate it as much as I thought I would. Heat is a fine comedy. Paul Feig is a good comedy director he's the only reason why the chick Ghostbusters movie might not totally suck.

RutgersJetFan
Mad Max gets a R rating. Based on the previews and this news, excluding Episode VII I don't think there is any movie that I'm looking forward to more this year, and that's including Avengers 2. Thor99
Tommy Wiseau has made a TV show for Hulu called "The Neighbors". As you'd expect, it's bad. Not in a good way. With "The Room," it was an earnest attempt to make a good movie, and it turned out horrible. That's why it was great. Now he's trying to recreate it, and it's beyond bad. I'm glad he finally got to make this new one. Looks like he went balls to the wall in case he never got another chance to revisit the world. I checked it out on imdb and saw toecutter has a role in the movie. the original hits on all the good revenge plot points, the random unprovoked brutality of the antagonist, the close personal bonds of the protagonists, and when max goes back to get the interceptor I almost actually cheered, lol the sped up car scenes actually work. it's obviously a trick, but it just works. #27TheDominator
Watched Prisoners on HBO the other night. She has been mad at me for over a year because when it was playing in the theater she wanted to see it and I said I wanted to see something funny. I was right, except that the only comedy playing was the Family with DeNiro and Pfeiffer. That movie was so absolutely awful that I have been in the doghouse ever since. Prisoners was decent enough, well-acted, etc. It just wasn't any fun to watch. There is no joy in it. Her response was that there is no joy in having your children kidnapped, but that is exactly why I have no use for this movie. It simply isn't good enough to make up for being no fun. For my part, I fell asleep and woke up a few times during it. Maybe I missed something good, but I have no real desire to go back and see what I missed. JustInFudge
Was disappointed with foxcatcher. Me too. Was expecting something totally different so that threw me off. I thought the acting was strong but the movie was just so weird. I get that the awkwardness was the intended but there was just too much dead air for my taste. RutgersJetFan
If you look at Sean Penn's filmography, he makes one good movie about every five to six years. The Gunman is not that.

Artie Lange won't shut up about this movie on his podcast. Especially the scene where Rock bottoms out in Houston with those two whores. Guess it brings back lots of memories. SenorGato
Destroy All Monsters needs to be remade. That scene where they show Rodan diving for dolphins (bc Japan)...oh it's so bad. The puppet basically slams face first into the water, the rest of the body hits behind it, kinda floats for a second, and then it awkwardly rises and glides off. Thought everyone was going to think I was watching porn. To make it worse I was dying of laughter so it basically looked like I was watching a ghetto threesome and laughing. The aftermath where he's curled up on the edge of the bed is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.

Pac
Finally got around to watching The Equalizer... Predictable but entertaining. Denzel able to pull off looking like a complete bad ass. Watched Whiplash last week and have probably watched the last 10 minutes a dozen times since then. Exhilarating ending... and the soundtrack was pretty cool. RutgersJetFan
I think in terms of era for horror movies, things have generally been on the weaker side since the 2000s began. May is great, so is Suicide Club and the 28-Later movies...Let the Right One In would probably be tops for me, until now. It Follows is special, like really ******* great. And I think that making something great may be the hardest for horror, which makes it all the more impressive. Just wow. Must-see doesn't even begin to describe how good it is.
