  1. Moving sux, can't argue with that, and I've done it way too much. But there is a feeling of relief and gratification when it is done. Good Luck Phil to you and the family.
  2. In NFL.com's latest mock draft, the New York Jets trade into the Top 5 to select Ohio State elite receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. In free agency, the New York Jets have acquired veteran blockers for quarterback Aaron Rodgers. According to NFL.com, they're about to also draft him an elite receiving weapon. In draft guru Daniel Jeremiah's 3.0 mock released this week, Jets' general manager Joe Douglas continues his aggressive offseason by making a trade into the Top 5 to select Ohio State receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. https://www.si.com/nfl/jets/news/new-york-jets-mock-draft-trade-top-5-ohio-state-receiver-marvin-harrison-jr-chargers#:~:text=According to NFL.com%2C they,State receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
  3. ESPN, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery announced plans on Tuesday to launch a sports streaming platform in the fall that will include offerings from at least 15 networks and all four major professional sports leagues. A one-stop app to view most sports should be a welcome sight for fans, who continue to navigate rising costs by subscribing to multiple services. Kevin Krim, the president and CEO of the ad measurement firm EDO, compared the three companies teaming up for sports to what some networks did when Hulu started in 2008. "My sense is knowing the cast of characters, they're looking at the original Hulu concept and thinking, 'Well, that worked out really well for us.' So let's do that again. But for live sports streaming," he said. The three companies will each share one-third ownership in the joint venture. A name for the service and pricing will be announced at a later date. "This new sports service exemplifies our ability as an industry to drive innovation and provide consumers with more choice, enjoyment and value and we're thrilled to deliver it to sports fans," Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav said in a statement. The platform will include games from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, WNBA, NASCAR and college sports, including the men's and women's NCAA tournament, as well as golf, tennis and the FIFA World Cup. It will include offerings from 15 linear networks: ESPN, ESPN+, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, ESPNEWS, ABC, Fox, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network, TNT, TBS, truTV. Subscribers would also have the ability to bundle the product with Disney+, Hulu and/or Max. https://www.espn.com/espn/story/_/id/39472710/espn-fox-warner-bros-launch-sports-streaming-platform
  4. No advice on moving @Maxman Phil. It just sux. Did it way too many times, but I'm finally good where I am now. Good luck to you and your family.
  5. ESPN and the NFL are in advanced talks that could result in the league taking an equity stake in ESPN, The Post has learned. As part of a potential agreement, Disney-owned ESPN would take control of NFL Media, which includes NFL Network, and the league would receive equity in ESPN. For the long-term viability of ESPN aligning with the most powerful sports league would enhance its position as the network plans to move to direct to consumer by 2025. While the idea of an ESPN-NFL alliance has been mentioned before, discussions between Disney-owned ESPN and the NFL are far enough along that sources said that owners and the Players Association are being informed about the talks. The owners and players need to be involved in the equity agreement because of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the two sides that calls for them to share revenues. It is unclear of how an equity stake in ESPN would be accounted for in the CBA. It still could take months for a deal to be finalized. Both ESPN and the NFL declined comment. The NFL has been trying to unload its network for years now. In its recent talks that resulted in its $110-plus billion deals with ESPN, Amazon, CBS, Fox, NBC and YouTube, the NFL searched for a buyer, but was unsuccessful. Since ESPN covers the league thoroughly, there would be synergies if the two sides are able to reach an agreement. Disney/ESPN might be able to secure better carriage arrangements for NFL Network. ESPN has targeted 2025 as the most likely year it will go direct-to-consumer. It is still possible it could move up the date to end of this year. When it does, it plans on offering all its programming without a cable subscription. A subscriber could choose to pay for the service directly through ESPN’s app or would still be able to opt for the ESPN channels through a cable or satellite provider. ESPN currently offers ESPN+ as a separate add-on service, but it has more specialty programming, including one exclusive NFL game. As it turns to direct-to-consumer, ESPN ideally wants a league partner and one of the top digital players, such as, but not limited to Apple, Amazon or Verizon, so it can leverage its content with the best distribution channels. In June, CNBC reported that ESPN held talks with the NFL, NBA and MLB. ESPN currently pays the NFL around $2.6 billion per year for rights that include 25 games, highlighted by its weekly Monday Night prime time schedule. https://nypost.com/2024/01/12/sports/espn-nfl-in-advanced-talks-on-agreement-that-could-give-league-equity-in-tv-giant/
  6. $80 for iptv? wooo that's alot. $25
  7. Not sure about that. I was a couple of places this past yr on Thursday nights and they did NOT have the Prime games.
  8. Got better? LOL. Where? On defense? What a load of sh*t. That's it, I will be hoping for a complete implosion next yr. Let's see 6-11. You dope.
  9. Huff is a goner, unfortunately. They discussed it on SNY post game. The blame should be on JD. Dead money on guys like Lawson, Lizard and Uzumeh. Otherwise they could afford to keep him, but not now.
  10. Holy sh*t. I need a drink after this; anything with alcohol.
  11. Blast away GW. You got the juice. I'd like to hear Breece chime in and say why didn't the OC know I could catch?
  12. I am so disgusted with this team that there is a part of me that wants to see it all fall apart next yr, just so they all get fired. I've never felt like that going into a new season in all the over 50+ yrs of watching this lousy team.
  13. The reckless Joshy is winning tonight.
