New Jets kicker

30 December 2012 - 12:44 PM

Just saw this on CNN. Dude makes some impressive kicks and seems to be able to shape it well. I wonder if he can throw?

Kinda glad we lost ...

23 December 2012 - 06:25 PM

I know, I know - a bunch of you younger guys who weren't on the planet in the 70's when I became a Jets fan will "mother****" me for saying this, but the truth is - McElroy ain't the future, and winning today would just screw us out of a better draft pick. The O line is/has been atrocious! The ST is putrid! The D is almost average. Folks, it's time to acknowledge - Jets are not a good football team in any area. I don't know if a new front office/coaching staff is in order, but what I saw today was one of the worst efforts in a looooonnnnnngggg time. Wish I had the answers, but I don't.

So, I went biking

09 December 2012 - 06:34 PM

Had the game set to DVR, went to Seaside, biked 20 miles then had brunch at Fire. Got home and checked in on JN and learned all I need to know about what happened. Glad I didn't piss away another Sunday on these lame-asses! I won't watch the DVR version - it'll just piss me off ...

Signs of deception

28 October 2012 - 05:33 PM

I'm in public relations and while I do not claim to be an authority on the matter, I notice that after every embarrassing loss, Sanchez has the same body language at the presser - he's always rubbing his face with his left hand while looking away and scratching his nose with his right hand. This has jumped out at me after every single bad loss where he sucked, and I've thought - why doesn't the PR team tell him not to do that? The answer is - He knows he sucks, and Rex knows he sucks too. It's that plain.
Signs of Deception:

Body Language of Lies:

• Physical expression will be limited and stiff, with few arm and hand movements. Hand, arm and leg movement are toward their own body the liar takes up less space.
• A person who is lying to you will avoid making eye contact.
• Hands touching their face, throat & mouth. Touching or scratching the nose or behind their ear. Not likely to touch his chest/heart with an open hand.
