  1. With the teams current players, if they mainly stayed healthy and Tyrod Taylor does as well and gad to start for the majority of the season, Jets should still make the playoffs. There is a big gap between Taylor and Wilson/Boyle/Simien as far as handling QB duties and it is not really even close.
  2. He needs to hire someone who can be much better with strength and conditioning and maintaining the proper health of the players as well as convincing his boss to change the field to grass. That would help eliminate many of the issues even with often injured players.
  3. Well, if the best T like Alt and Fashuna are there yea, but if not take a player that can contribute and maybe start like TE Bowers. This O with WRs Wilson/Williams, RB Hall, and TE Bowers could be explosive with Rogers now that the Oline has been fortified. Then in rounds 3-4 take a G and T and with the remaining 4th, 6th, and 2 7th rounders take a developmental QB, another WR, S, and maybe RB. That should stack us pretty well.
  4. This offense is too bad to spend yet another 1st round pick on a defensive player. We have to try to get a special talent on O if we can. If Bowers or a top LT is there you take them. We have 2 starting tackles that are 33 years old and can’t put all our eggs in one basket for next year only.
  5. Yes, Lazard should get another shot at the 3/4 WR position with Rogers at the helm. Just to be sure with him. The combo of Wilson/Boyle/Simien would destroy most WRs other than the best.
  6. If he doesn’t go BAP on offense he will probably be causing his own pink slip to come in.
  7. We should go with best available offensive player in round 1 that is not a QB or RB and if a highly rated QB is there try our best to trade down to get back a 2nd and more maybe. Otherwise, as long as we sign a FA WR good enough to be a WR2 then we should have the luxury at 10 in the draft to pick any really good LT, WR, or TE(Bowers) that drops to us. And if any other teams calls for one of those guys they have to pay a boatload for that since we are in win now mode and really need quality over quantity.
  8. Actually, coaching on D with Ulbrich and STs with Boyer will be good. And the translation of Woody saying Saleh has to handle coaching on O will be like the coaching on O on teams that had Brady, P. Manning, etc. Rodgers will be the on field O coordinator where the plays coming in are really the plays he picks.
  9. Well generally with the law of averages we are due for something to go right. So, if that is the case then this season we improve at oline and wr and Rodgers stays healthy and has a good season. I am an idealist/optimist so this is how I am thinking at this point.
  10. Could it break the mold where we finally pick a highly touted TE that pans out for us?. We see how much they can affect offenses with the 2 SB teams being perennial SB contenders with TEs Kelce and Kittle making their teams offenses basically what has them in SB contention every year. We truly do not see WRs have that much of an impact on any offense that makes them SB contenders i.e Diggs can’t get Bills over the hump, Jefferson can’t even get the Vikings to the playoffs every year, heck even all world WR Hill couldn’t get the Fins to win a crucial home game for the division against the Bills, and then couldn’t get them to even be competitive in the playoffs. Jets are so down and out right now maybe Bower is the way to go if he is there and someone to take a chance on. As bad as we are what have we really got to lose.
  11. Jets never lost a playoff game due to the coach ruining the game by skipping 3 very makable field goals. That is a worse devastation than we have ever gone through much moreso that 1998, 2009, or 2010.
  12. The 1st NE should have been a win as well. With just average QB play from someone like a Minshew or Brisset and the Jets win at least 3-4 additional games and make the playoffs.
  13. Disagree but we’ll see. The whole O plays better if Rodgers is in there.
  14. We need to sign/tag and trade Huff. It can be done.
  15. You hit the nail on the head. We are better off having our D drop down a little from dominant to very good, and try to use the resources to make the offense go from completely f&cking useless to as functional as possible.
