  1. Well then we're screwed. Too bad JD let the Packers take him to the cleaners on the Rodgers trade when they had zero leverage.
  2. Will Jerry Reinsdorf and Danny Wirtz get their crooked bought and paid for Chicago politicians to put the kibosh on the deal so the United Center doesn't have downtown competition for hosting major events?
  3. Williams is 29 and had an isolated injury. Tyron Smith is 33 years old and has not played a full season since 2015. Morgan Moses is an ironman but he is 33 as well and missed games for the first time in his career last season. And I'm not too sure where you are seeing your info on Warren and Mitchell, but I don't think anyone on the Jets wants to see either forced into a starting role in 2024 due to an injury.
  4. You don't replace the talent of a Stefon Diggs in the draft. Heck, the Vikings lucked into him in the 5th round. It is a total crapshoot. The Bills first pick is at 28, So they'd have to trade up to get a shot at any of the bigger named WRs in the draft. And they need more than 1 WR. Plus I don't know why they think they can replace Hyde and Poyer with Rapp and Edwards. Safety may not be a high valued position in the NFL, but when you've got 2 really good Safeties lined up together in your D, it makes your D so much better.
  5. If they draft a T at 10, he will most likely be the starter at RT over Moses, and certainly would at least share the job with Moses and have to step in at LT for the games Tyron Smith will miss. You can't expect 2 of the nearly oldest starting OT's in the NFL to play 17 games plus a long play off run. You need a young buck added to the mix.
  6. System Coaches are the worst. I guarantee that Saleh fought against this with every fiber of his being.
  7. During his entire career, BB has shown nothing but disdain for the offensive side of the ball. If it wasn't about running the ball or throwing to the TE, he wanted nothing to do with it. In his view, an Offense that does not lose the game is the best Offense. That only works when you have Lawrence Taylor or are stealing the other team's signals. The guy is a scumbag who happens to be a darn good defensive football coach. Nothing more. He is no genius and there is no "patriot way". It s a myth born of BB's paranoia and Brady's excellence at playing the position of QB. I take great solace in the fact that an aging Tom Brady with his best years clearly in the rear view mirror won a SB without BB confirming who exactly needed who to be successful. I bet if Kraft had to make the decision all over again, he would have kept Brady and fired BB.
  8. I keep saying that the place to find starting QBs is in the first round at pick 10 or later. These guys normally get to sit and watch before they start and are drafted by not so terrible teams. i.e. Chad Pennington
  9. He failed the only class he ever took on logo design. Pure gold.
  10. Nick Chubb #4!? After that nauseating knee injury is a big surprise to me.
  11. Pick an OT at 10 or trade back. I don't care how good Bowers is. If the QB is getting planted into the dirt, John Mackey could be at TE and it wouldn't matter.
  12. He seems to have done well during his 4 years at New Haven. But, he was hired at URI in January, just a few months ago. Perhaps he is a hot commodity? https://gorhody.com/news/2024/1/29/kusmirek-joins-rhode-island-football-staff.aspx
  13. JD should pick up the phone and call Houston to inquire about John Metchie III
  14. I guarantee the homerun plus solid result rate is even lower if you limit it to QBs taken with picks 1 though 9. The hit rate is much better for 10 through 32. Why? Because teams are less prone to start a rookie QB taken with the 10th pick or later, and they are typically taken by teams that are not so terrible that they earned a top pick in the draft.
