One thing that I can say is Sam Darnold wanted to be here, he really wanted to be here, in fact he begged to stay, while Zach Wilson never wanted to be here and really didn’t have the mindset in the beginning to be alright here. So, the only reason Darnold is respected by me now is he is willing to play here and he really, I believe, would be willing to come back and play here.

Saleh wanted to keep Sam Darnold that is clear now. It may not have worked as others have indicated but that was a superior plan to that what they did.

What this shows is that the NFL is more and more an avenue for mere entertainment like a Broadway Show and less and less a competitive event between two rival sports organizations. If we are paying attention this report one can better understand the NFL’s mindless promotion of Taylor Swift, the NFL’s conflict with gambling interests and the league’s “poor” officiating. It becomes clear now.

Rogers is correct and the problems that the Jets have certainly been here for more than 20 years. Blaming Rogers for the Jets institutional dysfunction is laughable.
