  1. He brought in a bunch of big names, with big ages and big injury histories. I've seen this dog-and-pony show before with this team and it never ends well.
  2. The Jets are built for one season and one season only. The 2025 season and beyond doesn't even exist in the minds of our glorious GM and coach.
  3. I'd say it's quite obvious to anyone who believes what they want to believe that it's all made up.
  4. Yeah, I'm sure she made it all up. After all, Aaron Rodgers would never believe in a hair-brained conspiracy like that.
  5. Mike Mayock looked like a genius when he talked about the draft as an analyst on NFL Network. Then he went and drafted Clelin Ferrell with a #4 pick. Although I gotta say Mayock was weird as Raiders GM. He was a dismal failure at picking in the first round, but was decent in finding gems in the late rounds. And who knows how much influence Gruden had on the picks during his tenure.
  6. Like JD and Saleh really care about anything beyond 2024. Yeah right.
  7. He was one of the few good players on the Jets when I started following the team. RIP
  8. Every GM is going to miss on picks. Sometimes the misses are on high picks. I don't criticize the Jets for drafting WIlson. I criticize the Jets for all the things they did--and didn't do--after they drafted him. The list of errors after drafting WIlson is a long one. They threw him into the fire when he wasn't ready; they stuck with him way too long; they failed to recognize he wasn't the guy until much too late; they didn't draft a single QB after they drafted him; they turned to a 40 year old Geritol Hall of Famer to answer their problems, etc., etc. Remember that there was another team that drafted a QB immediately after the Jets drafted Wilson, and that QB was just as big a bust. That team is now in the Super Bowl. Why? Because they kept a level head despite the misfortune. They kept to their plan, made some key trades, focused on the draft and hit the lottery by finding a potential MVP QB in the seventh round the following year. They didn't panic and make desperate, stupid moves like JD did.
  9. Don't ya know, the media is making this all up. How can it be otherwise with the season the Jets just had?
  10. Costello trying to gain brownie points with the Jets after getting beat on a story by the Athletic. Not surprising.
  11. Amazingly, this well-researched article really didn't tell me anything I didn't already instinctively know about this team and the past season--except for maybe that Saleh is an ever bigger douche bag than I originally thought.
  12. Aaron Rodgers was known to be "shot" when the Jets started courting him a year ago. In his own words, he was "90% retired."
  13. The only thing he's done right is the 2022 draft. But picking Sauce, Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall wasn't exactly a stroke of genius. Those guys were at the top of every draft ranking on the internet. When you look at the rest of his draft history, it's pretty dismal, especially on the second and third days of the draft. The team has gotten very little out of rounds 3-7 in his tenure. That's a sign of bad scouting and bad talent evaluation. He also obsessively trades up in the draft to make big bets and rarely trades down.
  14. The Lions OL is the engine that makes the team go. They’re awesome. Still remember laughing at @bitonti in 2021 when he kept saying the Jets should take Sewell with the #2 pick. Boy was he right, and boy was I a fool.
