#2281582 FED UP!!!!

Posted by Scott Dierking on 15 May 2013 - 03:33 PM

Because they found a better HC and Rex had HC aspirations.  I see no problem with that.  You won't find me arguing that Rex is the best HC in the league, just a very good one.

He is a one trick pony, and that pony is a beaten mule at this time. That very good coach that you speak of will be unemployed after 16 regular season games in 2013

Even you can't deny the NFL is much different than it was in 2002.

And guess who was an integral piece of that 2000 Ravens team that won a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer?  Rex Ryan.

The Ravens sure have suffered since the loss of Rex Ryan. Look at how miserable they have been I am sure they will be begging him to come back once he is on the street

Jaworski LOVED Kellen Clemens, too, so take that with a grain of salt. But Jaworski does seem to do the best work on quarterbacks of any of the big talking heads.

#2276058 I'm excited about the Jets again. Dammit, just.....dammit.

Posted by Scott Dierking on 01 May 2013 - 03:00 PM

why would the Jets draft a man to man corner at 9 if they were gonna fire Rex as soon as the year was over?

Why would they hire an offensive coordinator one year, only to fire him the next?

Or trade for a QB that does not fit their system, then dump him the next season?

If Milliner gives you chills that Rex is going to stay-Have at it. I watched you orgasm on any Revis news that you felt would make him stay, only to walk to your chagrin.

You are a broken record on these things.

#2272491 Rex Ryan will be the Head Coach for a long time

Posted by Scott Dierking on 27 April 2013 - 04:10 AM

Yeah, because its not like the Jets under Rex have beaten any good QBs like Brady or Peyton in the playof..... oh right. :face:

Jet defense was not on the field in a final drive protecting the lead in those games, homer.

Thought this exact thing when we picked Geno.  No way Rex is gone after this season now.  Idzik is getting behind Geno and now hes gonna be "His" guy.

The only thing that Rex knows about QB's is that his defense can't stop good ones when the game is on the line.

#2262977 Jets could unload a quarterback (sanchez) as part of Revis trade

#2262860 Yahoo: Bucs offer 1st, 3rd, 6th for Revis; to pay him $15m-$16m

Posted by Scott Dierking on 12 April 2013 - 12:28 PM

I'd bet 50 bucks that the 2013 Jets with Revis go .500.

Done. If Revis remains with the Jets, we can both send our money to Smizzy to hold.

Ross Tucker was on Florio's show and said that several coaches told him, if they were gonna start an NFL defense he'd be the guy you pick. That guy is a former player and presumably knows NFL coaches.

you keep asking why his trade value is Percy Harvin level (or more)?

the answer is the tape. Go back and take a look at his career and his play on the field.

So many threads are about his hold outs or his salary cap. He's a baller. He's the 2nd best Jet, ever and if they trade him, it's gonna be a huge task to replace him.

The ACL is the only thing that hurts his value why they don't have more suitors or what-have-you.

I trust that Idzik hit on Richard Sherman but and  he's probably got some more 5th round sleepers all ready to go. THat's the only fact that makes this less than a total disaster. Overall i'll be bummed when it happens cause Revis is talented and picks are just picks.

Joe Klecko had more of an impact as a Jet than Revis ever did.

#2256742 Jets Have NFL's Third Weakest Roster

Posted by Scott Dierking on 28 March 2013 - 01:00 PM

Yes, possibly the greatest skill position players of all time and they never won dick.

I think you just called me and Bit pussies.

Yeah you're right the team doesn't actually need high priced talent. It just needs moderately priced players, playing to their moderate salaries. Championship!

I forget, how many Super Bowls have the Jets won WITH Revis?

#2253042 ESPN.com Slams Jets

Posted by Scott Dierking on 20 March 2013 - 08:10 AM

On the JNRadio show last night, Agapito and Tyson did a pretty good breakdown of how the media coverage of the Jets diverts from biased to unbiased. They were citing specific examples from stories where the reporters took unnecessary shots. I'm the last guy to point at the media and whine, but the Jets are spending a long time bent over the pommel horse.

Sport by nature is not an unbiased observation. And that is what it makes it interesting.

Otherwise, we would have this: The Patriots finished at 10-6. This ranks them as the 12th best team in the NFL when all tiebreakers are taken into consideration.

Of course there are biases in sport analysis.

You also reap what you sow. And, if you are going to purport yourself and your team in grandiose ways, it lends people to just naturally want to knock you off that perch. There is nothing fandoms like to see more than the big bully getting his comeupance. And the media will only help serve that up.

What was their sage rationale?

The pattern of crumbs Francesa left on the console.

#2250874 Jets Sign OT Willie Colon of the Steelers

Oh, and the obvious joke is, Buttfumble has a w(hole) new meaning with Colon on board.
