Watching Rattler I'm not impressed. His best plays were often bad throws gathered in by the athletic freak of a receiver Xavier Leggette.

Is the NFL too QB centric for success?
sirlancemehlot replied to 83Kelly2Allen18's topic in NY Jets Forum
While I preferred the old school aggressive game, it's just not possible anymore. The players are bigger, faster, more athletic. In the 1980s linemen averaged 280ish pounds. Now 320 plus is the norm. Edge rushers run in the 4.5s. Running backs hit top speeds of 25mph. The game has changed, yes, but necessarily so. And head protection is a must after seeing the effects of cte on some of my favorite players of the 70s and 80s. -
You have at most a 2 year window with Rodgers who is coming off Achilles surgery because the ol let up a sack 4 plays into the season. Then multiple injuries lead to ol starters that wouldn't make other teams practice squads. You go deep for ol, especially with your tackles being long in the tooth.

Well this is quite sobering.

Legette is my dark horse. Most have him mocked outside the top 10 wrs. He's going to be a monster imo.

Draft Xavier Legette in the third round. Problem solved.
-
Never said they were stars. Just players who moved on and played better for the next team. Except Revis. he was actually better here.

Daniel Jeremiah's top 50: 2024 NFL Draft prospect rankings 3.0
sirlancemehlot replied to Claymation's topic in NY Jets Forum
Xavier Legette will be available later and he's the Puka Nacua of this WR class. Built like DK Metcalf, 6'2" 220lbs and a 4.39 40 with sticky hands and 40" vertical. He saved Rattler's ass on a ton of 50/50 balls. -
JetNation Prospect Profile: Boston College OL Christian Mahogany
sirlancemehlot replied to JetNation's topic in NY Jets Forum
My son battled Christian in practice his junior year of HS. My kid was a 6'3" 280lb powerhouse and Christian regularly ragdolled him and everyone else on the DL. He's worth a 4th at least. -
Should the Jets consider trading Breece Hall?

Sitting a rookie QB down a few weeks doesn't matter.

It's almost as if they are people with different strengths, weaknesses and levels of experience.
