Jets history is irrelevant in this case.  We have one John Idzik draft to go from, which is the only history that matters, and none of those players have seen the field yet.

 

From what I am told we are actually 5 Rex Ryan drafts in. What a mediocre GM that guy has turned out to be.

That idiot Ryan mentioned this being on the schedule a week or two ago. This is something that will be cool to watch in action. Since he says he would rather the winner pop up sooner rather than later my guess is that there are two plans just in case that dream scenario doesn't pop up. It would really suck if one of the QBs doesn't take the job early. Since this is supposedly a year that doesn't count - and I understand that makes sense in alot of ways - I don't really care which one of Sanchez or Smith wins. Smith is BY MILES AND MILES AND MILES AND MILES AND MILES AND MILES AND MILES AND MILES the best competition for the starting job that Sanchez has ever had in the NFL. It would be a great boon for the franchise if that did something positive for Dipsh*t. 2 QBs > 1. 
 
Oh and to reiterate on Garrard - I'm glad he's gone. I didn't feel like fighting it but "he could have started for the Dolphins last year until he had back surgery (at 35" was never much of a sell.

Remarkably similar to what Sandy Alderson did when he came to the Mets, bringing in established henchmen to change the culture. Not that it's worked for the Mets, mind you, but it's good to see the Jets Good Ol' Boy network jflushed out.


Renarkably similar to every new GM hire ever when the new GM comes from outside the organization. They went outside the organization for a reason, and probably not because they were happy with what they got out of internal hires.

What makes this dog a solid #2?  His career numbers do not even compare favorably with Jeremy Kerley who I hear is nothing but a "slot WR"

Young, with a fire burning in his belly, challenged his team and teammates to just get him the ball. Kerley has never actively sought the ball, rather taking what he is given.
